On marinetraffic, the Dream looks like she's headed for West Palm Beach, traveling at 2.4 knots with restricted maneuverability. Anyone know what's up? Is this normal for a sea day?

I'm thinking the "destination" is a direction, not a plotted course. Port of Palm Beach is too small for this ship. If the ship is disabled, Freeport is much closer and can handle a vessel this size

Somebody on another cruise forum is saying since its a normal sea day they are avoiding unusual high winds north of the Bahamas, and it is just bad programming with the transmitter.

Makes sense. They have 10 hours to get back to port Canaveral. The are probably "hiding behind the Bahama Islands" waiting for the evening hours when the wind dies down

I used to fly Air Force rescue. Coast Guard uses similar equipment. The aircraft has a hoist with a ~200' cable. They can run down a medic and a special litter to hoist the patient from a hover. ETA: Found a picture of a similar rescue.
