Sideways inside cabins seem to have a "hallway" separating one of the cabins from the others. Does anyone know what this is? Is it a hallway? It would seem that some of these cabins have no neighbours against their walls.

Just wondering .. .

Thanks!!

There are hallways that run horizontally separating the cabins that are situated sideways. Looking closely at magnified deck plans, the entrance appears to be at the narrow end of the cabin, so I don't think the layout of those cabins is different from other inside cabins.

Would you agree, then, that these cabins would be advantageous if one doesn't want any neighbour noise, or is there some other detail that I am missing, ie. other noise from hallway use of cabin stewards perhaps?

There are only a few cabins that have no neighbors, and they're at the far forward end of the ship. Personally - I would rather be more midship than that far forward.
