DREAM Sail Date December 11th 2011

so far no palo brunch times available for me to book...but the ressie system is a little messed up today too so hopefully something will open up later...

i got a port check in time of 11am...

i guess i will have to have my son wait in line for a palo ressie onboard!!!

This is strange I was in it this morning around 8:30 and there were lots of dinner reservations available. Sue:confused3

I have no idea how we got it. I logged in on Tuesday when I could finally access the internet. There are two rooms linked with ours friends traveling with us and we are the only gold level cc. When I got into Palo's brunch there was one option for me that being a table 5-6 (there are 6 of us) at 10:30. I must say I was pleasantly surprised! Sue

You needed a bigger table than we did so they wouldn't give us a table for 6 with just 3 of us.

I agreed to coordinate the FE list. Up until now we only had 4 staterooms interested. Send me a PM and I can add you to the list. Include Dis Name, Stateroom number, first names of who is in your stateroom, where you are from. List ages of anyone under 18. I will not be on the board much the next two weeks but will get it together for us. I am going to really need this vacation by the time it comes especially since I won't have oak and pine trees all over the place LOL!

I also haven't reached my 10 post yet, so here is my info if that's okay...

Posted here a long time ago when we first booked. Been reading through the 22 pages of posts to catch up on everything. :surfweb: Not sure about FEs. Our cruise meet thread didn't do that last time. Seems like a lot of work for 4 days.

I will be traveling with my DW, DS(12), DS(10), DFIL and DMIL. This will be our 3rd cruise. :woohoo: We have been on the Magic and Wonder before.

Welcome back! Getting very close to our online check-in date! Whoo-hoo!!

I'm with you on the FE, and also with you on the in-laws... traveling with mine as well. I also have a DS(11) that will maybe be hanging out some with your boys!

Trying to convince DD(7) that she will have fun without her brother in the Lab...and it's not going very well.... right now she is pretty adamant that she doesn't want to go there at all.

Booking window opens tonight at midnight. We aren't booking anything... all I care about is the port arrival time!

I can't do anything until the 27th.
But I did do some checking and I was told sence I am flying in that I will get a boarding # when I check in at the DCL bus. We are staying at the Hyatt at the airport,so I hope to be one of the first in line to get a early #.
We are planning on booking the Extreme Getaway Package at Castaway Cay and staying on the ship at Nassau.

My DD will be 13 next month and we was looking back at this thread to see how many kids was her age. I started a thread for Tweens and Teens to meet for this cruise, I am hoping this will help my DD feel better about this cruise. If any of you kids would like to post that would be great.

I just stumbled on to this thread. We are also going on Dec. 11th. We booked back in March and it still seems like a long time until now. Our plans are to use DVC for eight days before at OKW. We have eight other family members over at SSR that will also be on this cruise with us. I can't wait. I'm hoping to at least get a dinner res. at Palo tonight, but not counting on it. Wish me luck.

Where did you start the thread for the teens/tweens? I can maybe get my DS interested in joining in, but I can't find it?

Hi Jen, welcome aboard! Good luck on the Palo res, sounds like you might need it. I think they're going fast.

I'm sitting here hoping that I can check in online in about 10 minutes. We are on central time so I'm hoping the web site will open up right at midnight eastern time so I can get my parasailing ressie and then go to bed. I think we'll stay on the ship in Nassau this time. We've done enough excursions and there's not much more we want to do there, but we do want to explore the Dream.

We are also DVC members and will also be at OKW beginning the 5th of Dec. Perhaps we'll run into you. We always wear our blue PassPorter pouches on a neck cord and I'll have my red name tag on which reads Bev. Hope to see you.

It's 12:17 eastern time and I'm still not getting in to select a boarding time. I could reserve our parasailing time, though. Come on DCL, open up that web site for us impatient cruisers.

I was able to get Palo reservations for dinner on the second night. There was a lot left for dinner, but nothing for brunch or high tea. I was a bit bummed that there was no more cabanas. My family and I were going to split the cost. Maybe one will pop up in the weeks to come. I couldn't check in yet either.

Okay, it is now midnight eastern time - just tried to do check-in and was unsuccessful. I'll give it another 10 or 15 minutes, then I'm going to bed. I really want to select a boarding time but can't stay up all night to do it. I was surprised we were able to select times for dining and excursions but can't do the actual check-in.

Jen- I think the cabanas were damaged during Hurricane Irene, at least that's what I read somewhere. Either that, or the gold and platinum cruisers reserved them all, but considering the cost I doubt that would happen.

I knew we couldn't do the online check-in until 3 EST... wasn't planning to get up in the middle of the night but happened to wake up. So frustrating... I can't get my reservation to pull up. I tried it last night just to make sure everything was working and had no trouble. Now it won't pull up. This is the first time I've had this trouble with the website that I keep reading about on the main board.

I don't know whether to keep trying to go back to bed and try again when I get up in a couple of hours! AAARRGGHHH!!

ETA: I just tried the Castaway Club link and it says the application is closed for maintenance! Are you serious?!?!? NOW?!?!

OK, I was FINALLY able to get in, and was able to get the 11:00 port arrival time. For some reason I couldn't pull up my in-laws reservation, though, even though I could do it yesterday when I tried. I'm going to bed and will try for theirs in the morning...

Congrats on the Palo reservation and the parasailing!
