Dream: May 22, 2011

If any one likes RIBS, Down Town DISNEY at the RAIN FOREST CAFE.
We will be dinning there around 6 or 7 pm Sat. night. They have lots of other GREAT things on the menu , but I love their ribs.I could not get ressie on the phone.................just have to do it the old fashion way...... walk in , put our name down and wait 15 minutes. :)

We leave a week from tomorrow:cool1::banana::cheer2:for WDW... This is our second time going, but it has been several years....
We are doing 2 day park-hopper passes and quick service meal plan.. Last time we had dinner reservations and character dining reservations well in advance, but since we were cruising too, I didn't do any of that stuff...

Does anyone have any dining places that you would say we should not MISS, or a show that we HAVE to make?? I know I'm a slacker, but it is the end of the school year and I really have not been on my A-game for planning-

If any of you experts:grouphug: have recommendations I would GREATLY appreciate them!!:)
Oh, and if you know where I can get a starbucks close to AKL, that would be helpful too:)

Thanks:)

We have DDP and have booked a few ADRs via my USA TA!
We are doing Whispering Canyon, Teppan Edo at Epcot, PRIME Time 50's diner at HS and Ohanas
Also at DTD we have booked Raglan irish pub for the day we get off the cruise as we are not on DDP that day!
I know that there are loads of recommended places for food but that is what we have chosen for the sit down meals and all if these are after the cruise!
Good luck with bookings!
See you soon now!

If I read correctly, you have the quick service plan.

That limits you to counter service restaurants for 2 meals/day.

Not sure what your touring plans are but here are my picks:

Non-theme park cs restaurants -

1) wolfgang puck express in dtd marketplace (near the christmas store)
great selections. Love the rotisserie chicken platter and oven roasted salmon.

2) Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Port Orleans French Quarter
pretty good potroast and ribs. Great variety for a food court. or

3) Pepper Market - coronado springs resort

Theme Parks - agree with most here -

4) Sunshine Seasons - Epcot Land Pavilion
5) Flame Tree BBQ - AK
6) La hacienda - Epcot Mexico
7) Pecos Bills - MK Frontierland

Have a great time!!!!

See everyone soon.

P.S. J.Q. has designed maps for the FE group which we'll be handing out at the CI&S and Dream cruise meets. Make sure you hit him up if he misses you. They look great!

We had dinner at Jiko at the AKL once and loved it  Don't forget to go down to the pool at night and use their free night vision goggles to see if you can spot any animals.

In Downtown Disney we always to go Ghiradelli for ice cream sundaes. We're actually going there the night before the cruise for a sundae after dinner.

Favorite breakfast is the Kona Cafe. They have fresh pressed Kona coffee that my DH enjoys. I go for the Tonga Toast (banana stuffed french toast) popcorn::

On our Easter trip we had a fantastic lunch at Sanaa in Kadani Village at AKL. One of the best I've ever had!

FE note: Like Poison stated in an earlier post, we have maps to give out to each participating FE cabin so make sure you see us at either the CI&S pool party, or at "Currents" on deck 13 forward above the adult pool @ 3pm cruise meet.

I just HAD to get a post on page 100!!!

I'll 3rd Wolfgang Puck at DTD. My favorite there, though, is Earl of Sandwich. Great, great sandwiches, and as far as I know, there are only two locations in the states (the other being in Las Vegas).

I'll go along with Earl of Sandwich as being a great counter service spot. Their sandwiches and salads are excellent and you can't beat the price, I believe it was around $5.75/5.95 for each of the items.

We've eaten at Sanaa and agree that their food is very good. Love the atmosphere there.

DD's favorite is Wolfgang Puck Cafe - she says the Macadamia crusted chicken breast is the best thing she's ever eaten.

:cool1: WOW! we are into the single "D's"....just 9 more days till " THE MAY DREAMERS DOUBLE DEUCE CRUISE "..............we can do that......sure we can. :cool1:

My darn living room looks like a luggage store exploded! My new keen bag arrived today, wich is now replacing my old carry-on..... I am trying to decide to take my Small suitcase, Chances large suitcase, and the rolling duffel bag...... you know, for those alocholic pre cruise purchases!
:rotfl: I keep laughing at myself because I keep changing my mind! I finally found bathing suit bottoms that look halfway decent, after buying and exchanging FOUR DIFFERENT ONES yesterday.
Yay! I decided Chance will NOT be attending school next friday, so that we can have a leisurely breakfast, and pack up the truck with luggage, then we can pick ash up from work, and be on our way!~ Terra and George will be making the drive after 6 pm because she is working til 530. Going to be a long drive for them!
:banana::banana: Happy dancing for me! Cant wait to see everyone a week from tommorrow!

I've had such a terrible last 2 weeks at work.....I told my boss I can't wait for no phones, no computer, no news, no TV, no decisions - he just looked at me and chuckled, he's never been on a cruise - he doesn't understand.
