Dream: May 22, 2011

Thanks for all of the info!! I haven't had time to really look at other forums- so I have totally missed the heated debates about attire!! (and I am kind of glad I missed that):hippie:
I am getting a little stressed about getting us all packed and ready, we leave 2 weeks from tomorrow to go to WDW for a few days before crusing!! Why I thought that would be a good idea, I'm not sure, but my kids are so excited about the coming weeks of fun!! :confused3
Since we won't be able to join the party at the hotel the night before the crusie, we will plan on meeting everyone at 3pm- :cool1:Can't wait!! Got to go get packing!!
:scared1:

We are in ORLANDO for 5 nights pre cuise and 5 nights after as well, we stay at Universal on site Royal Pacific resort to do US and IOA as well as Discovery cove then the Dream cruise followed by 5 nights on site at POFQ !!
We are getting so excited and already started to get suitcases ready etc!

My home and immediate area were not hit. All of the tornadoes went above and below us. Alabama has been totally turned upside down. I have seen the pictures on tv, but it is so much worse when you see it in person. I think they said 18 tornados hit Alabama on Wednesday and over 200 lives lost. It was a very scary day. There was warning of the storms that were coming, but there was no hiding from them. The places that they hit are totally wiped out. There are still ongoing efforts to clean up the areas. We are very sad, but hopeful also. Communities and people from all across the state and beyond have banned together to gather the pieces. They will not allow people to come in or out of the hardest hit areas unless you live there. I hear that those areas are getting assistance from other sources. Please keep all of these people in your prayers.

:thumbsup2 For those of you that are flying in and renting a car, you might want to re-check your car rental rates, a few minutes ago I just saved over $66.00 on my rental with ALAMO for a 2 week rental. I see where National rentals rates have also dropped. :thumbsup2

Nice, we're going to try T-Rex the night before the cruise. DS loves dinosaurs, so hopefully he's not scared. I'm looking forward to the apple cottontini popcorn::

We're staying there before the cruise, too :cool1: I can't wait for my boys to see it, it's such a spectacular hotel. My youngest is missing his preschool class trip to a farm because we'll be on the cruise, but he told his teacher he didn't care because he was staying at the zebra and giraffe hotel! :rotfl:

My documents showed up today in a cloud of confetti and kid stuff! Two weeks and a few hours until our vacation officially starts!

Hiya,
I don't have a clue on the miles but we booked a package for the hotel and flight with Virgin Holidays so thanks for the offer but no can do!
The flight takes over 9 hours from London and we also stay overnight in London as flight leaves at 11.15am on 17th May and we are about a good 2 hours drive from airport and wouldn't want to miss the flight!
We are also staying on disney site at POFQ after cruise, this has cost us a small fortune! We did manage to bag free Disney Dining plan though and also when we are at Universal Hotel (RPR) we have free Universal/IOA tickets with early entry for breakfast at 7am at HP land too! One day we are going to Busch Gardens and another day we are at Discover Cove too!
I have even bought tickets to see Blue Man Group for just Luke and I !
