We are making our first trip to WDW in May. We are celebrating both kids birthdays (8 & 10). We want to go deluxe and were thinking of the Gold package. From what I see on this site that is not such a good idea! Any recommendations? I have not paid my deposit yet so can change anything. We all enjoy water so were thinking of the Beach Resort. Any help would be appreciated. We would like to make advance reservations for all "must see, eat, do" attractions! Thanks, The Fun Seekers

My suggestion would be to check out allearsnet.com and see what you'd be getting exactly. Do a little pencil pushing to see if the package would be cheaper for you, or if it would be better doing it "a la carte". I'm disneymooning in a week and decided to split our stay up into two separate packages. For the first half we added on the Silver Plan. The extra $68 per person per night was cheaper than paying for the things we wanted to do individually (Cirque du Soleil, tours, dinner shows, etc). Then for the second half of the trip we got the regular Dream Maker package without add-ons. That way we weren't paying for anything we won't use. Definitely think about that as an option!
