Dream July 27, 2012 5 night

My reservation still states VGT however after VGT it states my room #
We received a 5A across from the elevators (hopefully that is not too loud?) I am just happy that now I know where I am going to be so that I can memorize the maps so I am not lost on the first day:sad2: So excited and an even 10 days to go. I am getting a little nervous because I am a very nervous flyer.

Jacquieone-
I am so sorry, I have been there and yes having the cruise to look forward to helps!

LOL, so SIL here too!! That is wonderful!! Another week to go! I hope you are enjoying the board as I am. I learned alot from everyone here.

@jacquieone - I'm sorry to hear about your lost. Glad to hear you are alright and able to still vacation. It will help you relax and recover *nods* then try again. :D

Whoa---a full ship!!! So exciting.

I'm so excited... my friend sells things made from fabric and ribbon -- key fobs, pet collars, headbands, etc. She made me a Patriots headband back when they were in the Super Bowl (let's not go there about the result of that game... sigh). Well I've got a funny head and the elastic doesn't stay, but I ALWAYS wear headbands because I can't stand my hair in my face. She happened to ask on FB one day if anyone had any other ideas of things she could make to sell. I asked her if she could make a plastic headband with fabric over it. Well, she found a way to make one out of ribbon and it can be REVERSIBLE, depending on the ribbon (so it's like having two headbands!). She found some awesome Disney ribbon and she came up with this. I just got them in the mail today. I'M SO EXCITED TO WEAR THEM ON THE CRUISE!!!!...

SINGLE DIGITS!!!! SINGLE DIGITS!!!!!!!!! SINGLE DIGITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are getting so excited for our cruise!!! To those who knew I was preggo, we unfortunately, lost the baby. We are doing ok though, and really are in need of the cruise now. :) Can't believe it is almost here!! Thank you all for the support and for keeping this thread exciting. I can hardly wait!!

 I'm so sorry for your loss

I am soooo excited! (and going crazy trying to get everything ready).

So I still don't see anything about a meet up....

Anyone interested in doing a quick meet and greet on on Day 1? This is our first cruise so I'm not sure what time or location is a good idea. What time is the muster drill?

Thank you all, so much. :)

Yes, yes, yes!!! Single digits!!!

Cute headbands, cctimmom, I saw some of that cute ribbon at Michaels.

See you all real soon!!!

I would be interested in a meetup. Not sure of a location, as we are new to the ship. Day 1 sounds great.

I just found this website. My husband, 9 year old daughter, and I will be on the July 27 Bahamas cruise. We are really looking forward to it! Hopefully, my daughter will find other kids to make friends with, and to have fun with! :goodvibes

Day 1 sound like a great. Anyone know a nice or good location to meet? I've never been on the ship, someone with more knowledge aka our veteran cruiser here ^_~ can help us newbies out?

not sure if it helpful or not, our family have 2nd/late seating for dinner. I mostly likely will spend first few hours on board settling down, unpacking etc and maybe explorer the ship and navigator. :D

Now the question is: Adults only or with kids? j/king :cool1:

:hyper:

week to go!

ONE WEEK!!!!!! I cannot contain myself. :dance3: I have to keep my cool around the house because I don't want to upset my 8 and 10 year old who are going on their own vacation to Wisconsin. My husband does not get time off in the summer usually and it is almost our 15th wedding anniversary. In 4 days I will be leaving home and starting my journey to drop off the kids with grandparents and fly to Orlando. This is the first vacation we have taken alone that has not involved a business trip. Have I told you how I cannot wait!!:rotfl2:

That's fantastic. MH and I did the Dream last October sans children. We had an awesome time. We rebooked this trip as a "sorry we went without you/we loved it so much we had to go again so you could go".

I just printed out my packing list that I use for all of my cruises...

I also just made all of the scans and photocopies of important documents (passports, birth certificates, etc)

Now to do laundry and begin making the packing piles... excited and anxious all rolled into one (anxiety comes from packing... I hate packing)

I only found this website last week. Has a meet and greet already been planned? Is it to late to "sign up"? Also, I just read about the fish extenders, and how families exchange little gifts. Is it too late to sign up for that as well? My 9 year old daughter would love to participate. I hope we can participate - if someone who is in the group knows answers to these questions, please let me know. Thank you!

jprod ... welcome aboard!

In terms of the FE... it's technically closed, but if you want to post your cabin number, if anyone has any extra FE gifts and want to include you, you might get lucky. I know I do not have any extras in terms of the gifts I have for the adults, but I could definitely swing something for your 9 year old daughter.

Everything's looking great so far. Weather.com is saying:
Friday - Port Canaveral - 91, Partly Cloudy, 10% chance of precip
Saturday - Nassau (since they don't have Castaway Cay) - 87, Partly Cloudy, 10%
Sunday - Nassau - 87, Partly Cloudy, 10%
Monday - Nassau - 87, Partly Cloudy, 10%
Tuesday - Nassau - 87, Partly Cloudy, 10%

Packing... How can we be bringing so much for only 5 nights? Shouldn't we only need a bathing suit and a pair of short, and quarters for the laundromat? Our dining room table looks like a department store threw up all over it.
