Dream July 27, 2012 5 night

Our cruise docs arrived yesterday. So I'm sure everyone else's will arrive soon too.

I agree its unlikely the bikes are really sold out... and I don't know how they could possibly know what hours people plan to use bikes anyway. I'm sure you'll be able to get them at CC. I also noticed that the Getaway Package (which is snorkel, tube and 1hr bike rental) is still available on the website...

I booked this cruise on Saturday. We are booked in a balcony gty so don't have my room number or docs yet. My husband Jason (38) and myself Stacy (36). We have two children ages 8 and 10 who will be with their grandparents. We took the kids a few years ago and will take them another time, but this time my husband and I are celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary sans kids.

Jacquieone -

Didn't you say you and DH were planning to run the 5K on CC? My DH is thinking about running it. Do you think they will have the 5K on both CC days? We have booked the Stingray Adventure one of the days and expect that will conflict with 5k. Do you know the approximate time the 5k starts?

Me and my hubby are lucky enough to celebrate our anniversary on this cruise!!! SOOOOOO excited:banana::cool1::cloud9::woohoo:
So excited that I'm even contemplating on packing now!:laundy::scared::hourglass

Julie-
Just wanted to let you know that DS--the 17 year old--actually took some time last night and looked at a video of VIBE and said it looked cool.
So he may actually hang out with the teens!!!! He seems to be more excited about the cruise than DD and it is her birthday gift.:confused3

Lisa ... what video was he watching. I'm sure my daughter would be interested in checking it out!

I was wondering where everyone is staying the night before the cruise, we used priceline for this night and received the Double tree at MCO. I was hoping for the Hyatt but it didn't happen. For the 61.00 including tax that I paid it will probably be fine.

Also wondering if everyone is using the DCL bus or other transportation?:confused3

We have a party of 7 including my inlaws. I found a great deal on renting a Suburban for the week (we were going to need a car after the cruise anyway since we're planning on going to the space center and then Wizarding World of Harry Potter...not flying home until Friday late afternoon)- its basically the same as the cost of our party to use the DCL bus.

Then I found out if we stay at the Residence Inn (or country suites but we went with RI) in PC the night before they have a deal where we can park the car there the whole cruise for free. They have a shuttle to and from port and I love the Residence Inn's free breakfast too- nice to get a decent hot breakfast right there at the hotel without having to figure that out in the morning. We are also able to fit our whole party in one of the RI 2bd suites.

I realize that the economics of this arrangement may not work out as well for smaller parties but it worked out to a pretty good deal for us!:)

I recently found out I am pregnant; therefore, we will not be running the CC 5k, as I will be about 11 weeks preggo on the ship!! I do believe they will have it both days, and the time should be on the Navigator. If I can find a recent 5 night double dip Navigator, I will check for you. :)

Have fun running it!!!

Oh and we are staying at Pop Century and using FL Tours for transport to the port. FL Tours was $200.00 cheaper round trip than using DCL transfers for our group.

I just booked what I think is a good deal on budget for a rental car. I used the BCD code of y937800, which anyone can use. I rented at mco for the 26th to return at cc5 (port canaveral) on the 27th. They provide a shuttle to and from the port. I also booked it for August 1st in reverse order of course. My total for all of it including tax was 113.06 for a small SUV. There are even cheaper rates if you want a car. This was less expensive than my husband & I taking the shuttle which would have been 138.00 I believe. Just wanted to post in case someone was looking for a better price?

Thank you guys, so much!!! :) I will be ordering a side of macaroni and cheese with every meal... because I can!!!

Congratulation on being preggo!! That is awesome :) To be honest, this trip is for my mother 61th birthday bash, just so happen it 10 days before my Nephew turn 14. So we're celebrating two birthdays on this cruise. We alsoo (whole family (2 parties) NY & FL) received their travel doc. You have no idea how surprise and wonderful that is for us first time Disney cruiser.

As for PM: I am so sorry for late reply, I have yet to log into site for a month due to work. That and I couldn't reply to PM due to not posting enough.
I am still interested in FE with my family. I have yet to tell them about it, so it will be all up to me. Well, my mom and grandma won't understand it anyway (english is not their first language). Our family is a mixture of Asian and Caucasian decent. They'll think it something fun. I'm still debating how to do this all! I'm a bit nutty.

Quick question: We just drop off our presents at other folks cabin, right? I'm so excite and so much to do before the cruise. I have yet to get everything together!!

Our room info: 6532, 6534 & 6536 - now no stalking please ;) j/king

Many thanks, :wave2:
Julia (Galatea)-just 3 more weeks to go!
