Thanks for sharing this with us, Tara, and welcome to the DIS. People do reach out here, and many places, for those in need like this. People are good.
What a touching story Tara! It is wonderful to know that there are so many giving people out there. And I have to agree with you, there is nothing wrong with flying out on the 13th... it's my DH's birthday that day too
So far....
3 airline tickets- hoping Northwest will comp the forth-
3 days parkhopper tickets- Disney's compassion program (thank you for those who pointed me in their direction!)
And we opened the account for her on Monday but I'm waiting a week to see so I won't have an unrealistic expectation. I'm also contacting auto rental companies at the Orlando airport- one day they might drive over to Tampa to see the ocean- she really wants to hear the ocean. Their dates are 9/13-9/19. Amazingly, another homeschooler from our support group will be at Disney part of that time- so she's going to help surprise the Hanks with a goody basket- I'm going to rent a refrigerator so they can eat breakfast in their room and have sodas handy. If any of you think of any other creative goodies let me know! It's really amazing how it's all pulling together!!
Thank you!
Tara
