I managed a meal preparation kitchen for 8 months. The concept is awesome and I still get my meals every month-DH still works there, but I do two sessions. His employee session for the family, and a session for my lunches. I've lost a lot of weight eating the meals and want that to continue.
No, most places don't want you to have the recipes because they want you to come back. That said, we would inform when we used certain recipes (Tavern on the Green's meatloaf, the local Junior Leagues Asian Pork Tenderloin)
Most places change the menu every month so you can have some variety. That said, if something is a huge hit with your family, LET THEM KNOW!!! We repeated favorites regularly because our clients told us what they liked.
If you're on the fence and the price is giving you pause, do one session. You'll love that someone else cleans up for you, does all the prep work for you and you can make the meal the way you want it. In the evening, you spend less time in the kitchen. Most meals can be cooked in the pan you made it in, so less clean up! I you're at a loss what to serve with it, you'll probably find serving suggestions on your cooking label or the kitchen's website.
