Less than a week till Christmas, how is everyone doing? Pretty organized here, amazingly. We have a large open house on Christmas eve, but I seem to serve the same food year after year, so it is pretty organized. I have thought about changing the menu a few times but everyone says no. Usually we have about 40-60 people swing in and out throught the evening. As far as our cruise, I can start booking excursions in early January, still haven't completely decided what we are doing. I am thinking Blue Lagoon Sea Lions for the 4/10 cruise and Atlantis for this leg. I am going to go look now about something for Castaway Cay. We did not do an excursion there last time. Thinking of maybe just renting bikes or maybe a paddle boat.
Other than that, I am all set, Christmas eve for my husband's side of the family, Christmas morning, my daughter's to watch the children open gifts, afternoon it's my sister's turn to host Christmas gifts and dinner, and then on Sunday, my kids and family will come out and we will do it all over again. We decided to do it this way so the little ones wouldn't be too tired and cranky.... after that, well, getting my excursions written down and full spead ahead on the Disney planning...I realize that it will be here before I know it and I am ok with that, but...I will miss the fun of planning
Ok, off to see what my 4 year old DGD is doing....she has taken 3 pairs of my shoes to play with and now I am wondering why 3....she is my Shoe Queen....Have a blessed Christmas to you scootch...I know this will be a hard Christmas for you...but, your mom is looking down and has many smiles for you and your family
so it wasn't like a huge crowd, only 29 kids went (grades 5-8)... but she wouldnt' go. We did not coax her at all, I think the longer they stay little, the better, but even what should have been a comfortable situation, she didn't want to try something new. Once she is comfortable, she has a ball, but she does have some separation anxiety issues. So we will see how it plays out. For her sake, I hope she just tries it, if only for an hour, then she won't keep wondering "what if", and hopefully she can go to the 10 and under club, as I know she won't try the 11-13 one.
Enjoy your grandkids and all the excitement in their hearts. Merry Christmas.
, but everyone laughed a lot and enjoyed it). We had Santa

No real New Years Eve plans, we usually go to dh's cousins, but they are not having it this year. OK for us, we prefer to just stay in and ring in the new year, that is if we can stay awake.
Planning DD B-day party (it's on Jan, 8, next week). It will be Harry Potter themed. New Year Eve at my sister-in-law's; we just need to bring a dish or two, so planning is easy.
