Dream a Little Dream: May 8-12, 2011

Well the mouth feels so much better today...Still sore but better. I am now ready to have a few drinks and eat lots aboard the Disney Dream. :cool1:

I don't know about you all but I am so ready to taste the wonderful food of the dream. My oldest son said is going to get steak!!! I was like yes he is going to eat real food.

Absolutely agree. Can't wait to try the restaurants. Also the "District." The clubs look awesome. :thumbsup2

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! 4 Day Navigators and I am also seeing more confirmations about the repeat dining room being Nights 3 and 4, so now we can schedule Palo for night 3 or 4 and fit it around other activities that we think might be happening on our cruise.

Just remember if your night is Animators they do not do the whole show on the repeat night. Only the 1st night. Just a heads up.

Very good to know.

We also just realized our rooms are above Evolution. Apparently that's the rocking night club. We have too many rooms to try to change and I'm pretty sure the ship is full anyway, so we'll be looking for ways to mitigate the noise. I know when we cruised a year ago on the Wonder, the adult dance club pretty much shut down at midnight because no one was there. But I am hearing the Dream is partying it up late.

I was thinking the obvious, ear plugs, but also I had been looking into noise reduction head phones for the kids anyway. So we could put a bedtime playlist on their ipod and put them to bed that way. Or bring a small noisy fan. The initial trip reports for our rooms are pretty harsh. I would have thought Disney would have invested in some noise reduction insulation?

Seeing those Navigators was really fun!:thumbsup2
90 days out boys and girls:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I would not worry to much...the kids are going to be so beat after their day of activities they will sleep. :cloud9: The ear plugs are not a bad idea for you. But your kids will sleep.

Also I am logged in online and just waiting..I have just over 5 hours and I can start booking and onlinecheck in.:woohoo: I can not wait.

Just also wanted to share with you all that yes our ship is sold out. All the dream dates in May are sold out. :thumbsup2

I am on line now, looking to see where or how I sign up for a boarding time. I am not seeing it.

ok this is what I have found out so far..palo only has dinner left, Remy still has openings. I did get my kids set for the clubs. Also you can not do online check in until that date even with them an hour ahead. You have to wait until midnight your time. I will post what I see is open there once I can get on it in about 15 mins.

I found the same thing. I was able to register the kids, book Palo, although my sister was not, time was no longer available. So 4 of us were able to book Palo, but 2 are left out at this time. The bride had already booked Remy and I am going to pass on that, so I didn't check Remy. I watched the Goofy movie which said you pick a check in time, but I did not find that any where in the registration process.

Booked PALO on night 4, couples massage at the spa on Nassau day and para sailing at Castaway Cay! :cool1: On line check-in froze up last night. The system must have been overwhelmed. We have no desire to get off the ship at Nassau. Seeing Nassau a couple of times is plenty. Good luck to everyone who is booking things, I hope you get what you want. :goodvibes

ETA: On line check in is done, 1030!

I found the arrival time thing. I had to re retrieve my reservation, using my birthday. Then the My reservation popped up in a different format. It had in blue a live link "Check in Online". This brought up a cruise summary. Port arrival was locked until I completed the other sections then it opened. I had already registered the kids and booked Palo reservations without ever coming to this place on the web site.

You are lucky you got 1030...I tried to get on it until 1 am my time...never could. When I got on I could only get a port time of 2 in the afternoon. :scared1: I was not happy at all. I called DCL today and let them know as nice as I could. Sure enough I got answers....and I was feeling much better. I was told that the time is only to get an idea of crowds...once the time slot is filled to where they can no longer be picked it just means that check in is going to take longer. I was told you can go to port anytime you want just remember the lines will be longer.

Yes, we heard the same thing about the lines. DW had to wait until 0530 eastern time to log on and get the 1030 time. We don't mind the lines in the terminal. We are always so excited just to be there, time seems to fly. I think it will be even more exciting waiting to board the Dream. I just can't wait to get on that ship! :goodvibes

let me get this straight. you get a time to get to port but it doesnt matter because you can go anytime but there will be long lines. now long lines for who? for everyone or for people who go when it is not their designated time? will there be seperate lines, one if you are following your time slot and one if you are not?:confused3

Just noticed you are from Glens Falls NY. We're from Clifton Park. Small world. :thumbsup2

yes that is right...you can go when ever you want...it is a suggested time. And then that the lines will be long...so it is the time you will get to board the fastest. I told them lots of thoughts on this...Not all good. Not a perfect system but they are trying to give you a heads up. It will be fine we are boarding the Dream after all.
