Dream a Little Dream: May 8-12, 2011

So I am home sick today and really just want to be on the beach. It is so hard to be sick and not able to get anything done and to lose a day at work. So I guess it is a good day to plan some days in the warm sun since I can do much else. Besides maybe that will help me feel better!!!:lovestruc

Thought everyone might be interested in this webcast of the christening ceremony of the Dream. I'll be at work so I will not be able to view it. I hope there will be a replay available.

On Wednesday, January 19th, we’ll be streaming a live webcast of the Disney Dream christening ceremony beginning at 10:30 a.m. Eastern, direct from Port Canaveral in Florida. The program will be available at www.disneycruise.com/dream and on the Disney Parks Blog.

Hey everyone,
Our second DCL cruise. (May 6, 2010) This time we celebrate my wifes birthday (30 something), my daughters Birthday (5), and our 10 year anniversary. Bringing Grandma and Grandpa along with us so we can enjoy a night of dining alone, hopefully. I have been looking forward to this cruise since last year. I look forward to talking with you guys prior to the big day. We did the zoo excursion in Nassua last year, anyone have any other suggestions for the 5 of us to do while in port? If you guys are going to meet up, just pick one of the top decks between Muster and the party. During the party, the top deck was practically empty when we were on last. Love to set up a play date if anyone wants to. For my daughter that is!

By the way, thanks to all of you that keep tidbits of information flowing. I have learned more from you guys than I have from any website. By the way, me and my daughter were planning a WDW trip today on MLK day. Wouldn't you know it, it's going to rain all day. Looks like umbrellas, ponchos and a very mad wife when we get sick, tomorrow.

Welcome...yes we all seem to following it very well. I guess it is the fact we just can not wait. :cool1: I am sure you are just like the rest of us counting the day until we sail or fly out in this case...I see you live in centeral Fl...We are talking about moving there!:scared1:

I grew up here. Then 10 years in the military. Moved back because I can't think of a better place to spend time with my wife and raise our beautiful daughter. I can tell you where every bathroom is in every park at WDW thanks in part to my small bladder and 36 years of WDW. First DCL last May and we are now hooked. Last one was 3 day and we were disappointed that we didn't get to do everything. This time it's 4 days, no sleeping allowed, and you eat whatever you can fit in your pockets from the buffet line. LOL
Wish we cold go to WDW today but the rain and lightning is really bad today.

My mom and stepdad are coming with us this time. They are living in Peoria, IL. I'm sure they will be glad to get out of the cold and snow come May.

Last year a friend set us up with a Fish Extender. I didn't get a lot of information on this but would like to get involved. Is there some where that I can go to register and get a list of other rooms involved? Thanks

well my husband wants to looks at homes while we are there...we will see what happens. I hear the schools are not that hot there. I worry about that. But I am opening to looking into it. My family would flip. But it is like I told hime it is not like we are talking about doing this in a months. I have to wait for housing in IL to come back. Then I could almost due it and end up mortage free or a very small one. :cool1: So it will be a few years. But looking is just looking so I am ok with that.

We have our girl in a private school due to that same reason. We found a great private school. There are some very good schools down here, though. I don't think it's any different than anywhere else. It all depends on where you live...when you find an area you like, check the schools rating. Hope to see you on-board.

yes that is true...I hope to see lots of people of board...maybe in line for the duck.

Just wondering what dinner sitting does everyone have out there. We are late. We have done the early and this time went with late. We found the early to early for us.:woohoo:

actually, i have a cousin who lives in orlando. moved there from phila many years ago. she raised two wonderful boys there who have both since graduated from Florida universities. Her boys are so well mannered and brilliant...the kind of fellow you hope your daughter winds up with. anyway, they went to public schools. I sent both my children to private schools in Canada because it was so close to my home. in hind site, would think twice about it. Looking back, I could of put down payments on a home for each of them with the money spent on it and have change for them to furnish it!Generally, the school is what the child takes out of it. It could be the best school in the world, if your child doesnt put in his all, its worth zilch. Unless, of course, if the school is so bad that it should be closed down! Just my opinion.:flower3:

We are at the early dinner seating, late show. Thought Logan would be too hungry for late dinner. He's used to eating early. If he gets tired, which I doubt, I'd rather him miss the show than dinner.:flower3:
