Dream a Little Dream: May 8-12, 2011

Tomorrow will mark 250 days until we sail!:cheer2:
( don't think I counted all that myself- I just looked up my reservation:rotfl:)

That is awesome news...:woohoo: It also means that I am only 245 until we fly out!!!:banana::thumbsup2 I must say the days seem to be falling faster than I can keep up with...I am thrilled that the days are going by fast. The kids have even started their 3rd week of school. :teacher: I am just not looking forward to winter I think then the days will start to move much slower. I hate the cold days that we have coming. But if any of you are looking most of the summer clothes are really marked down right now. I got my boys tons of new summer stuff just for the trip that way I don't have to pay full price. Santa is planning ahead this year. :santa::santa:

Also everyone check the www.meyerwerft.com site and check the webcam the dream looks awesome. I can not wait to see the real thing.:cheer2:

The Dream will sail out of Germany on October 30th ....
I was planning to go have a look but that weekend I'm at DLP for Halloween ...

Peeking in to wave "hi" to my fellow Dream cruisers.

Oh, and I'll be happy to participate in the FE if everyone else decides to have it for our group.

To Bevgray, Ameliaforte is graciously holding the FE for us, :worship: so I guess you can pm her to "register". :goodvibes

I can not believe that we are talking about the Dream setting sail...I remember being on the ship the day the told everyone they were making 2 more ships....:cool1::cool1: I must say the room went crazy with screams and that was just on the wonder. And here we are not only planning our own trip on the dream but waiting for it to hit the water. :woohoo: I must say I am on the edge of my seat waiting and looking forward to hearing it sailed off ok and that it made it to port ok:banana::banana:. If anyone is going to be there please post photos of it:worship::worship:. I am sure they will be all over the web.

We will be fellow passengers on this cruise. It will be our first Disney cruise so we are so excited to be going.
:dance3:
Me, DH, and DD who will be 7 :cloud9:

welcome to our dream ship !!! I can tell you that many of us have sailed before so if you have any questions please just ask. :confused3 I am sure someone here can get you the info you need. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

To all others if you have not already check air rates if you are going to fly in. I know I have seen some great deals from chicago. Heck my rate out of ohare was cheaper than southwest. :cool1: I was thrilled to know even with paying for the bags it is cheaper. I guess sometimes it does pay to just do it instead of waiting.:woohoo:

Welcome to our Dream cruise thread. It's so exciting with more people joining our thread and cruise.

Just out of curosity, I checked the DCL website for our cruise date and everything seems to be sold out except for veranda staterooms. All inside staterooms and ocean view staterooms are sold out!

Well, maybe this is why they offer rebates for Canadians on the two other boats??? :confused3 On the Canadian thread, they were saying that the Dream is filling with multiple cruisers because of the novelty... of course, but apparently the two other ships are not filling as usual.

So I guess that by booking in November 2009, we did a good thing! (even though we are in a veranda stateroom.)

I was guessing that our whole ship will be sold out...I guess that means long lines at the aqua duck.:scared1: I will still wait several times I am sure. I am so thrilled that so many will be sailing with us it just means that many more to party with on the boat. I know my level is sold out and I was shocked by how fast it is selling now. I guess as it gets closer it will sell out even faster.

I too am thrilled our group here is growing. I hope all of you are planning on almost living here as the date gets closer. I know this is where I plan to live one Jan comes around. :surfweb: So don't laugh to much if you see more and more posts after the holidays and my kids know about it.

Hey, I apparently lost a ticker ??????????
Just making sure.

I'll have to wish myself some pixie dust......... to get my ticker back :tinker:

O.K., it looks, like it worked..... Bravo for the "poussière de fée"

Are any of you planning to skip Nassau? I've been thinking of staying on the ship on the Nassau day (Monday) and hoping the line for the Aquaduck will be short and access to the other pools will be easier. I'm sure the pool areas will be jammed on the sea day.

We skip Nassau. It does nothing for us. We don't gamble or drink. We have no desire to go to the resort there when we have a beautifu ship that we have paid good $$$$ to enjoy. Plus, we LOVE the ship!:cloud9: I especially love it when 1000 of my friends get off of it and explore Nassau:rotfl:
On a serious note, I have read some things that have me somewhat concerned about the safety of that port-there have been incidents. So we are really quite happy to stay aboard and enjoy. Not to mention also having breathtakingly beautiful Castaway Cay to look forward to:rolleyes:

I promised my daughter we would be swimming with dolphins - which is supposed to add more miracles to Disney miracles, for children living with autism. So this is why I wanted to land in Nassau.

Everything I read up to now direct us to Nassau instead of other places, when it comes to swim with the dolphins. Does any of you have a different opinion or experience? Because if we could stay on the boat, (as our Mamie64 will, since she doesn't want to swim with the dolphins with us), we would of course, enjoy the Aquaduc on shorter (if possible) lines.

Poussière de fée (you'll know how to say it in French by the end of the cruise!)

I was thinking the same thing. From the infomration I've read about Nassu, there doesn't seem to be to much that interests me. I'm not a shopper and am not interested in buying jewlery, watches, and such. I've also read about incidents with tourists getting off cruise ships in that port which makes me a little uneasy. I think I'll stay on board for some extra time on the aquaduck and also for exploring the ship. I'm sure our four days will go by fast!
