Dream 5-Night March 4, 2012

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

We just got off a three day cruise on the Dream, while onboard we booked for March 4th. We had a great time, the ship is awesome and we cannot wait for March.

OOOHHH Skelly8 tell me more. It must have been great if you already booked again! Did you ride the Aquaduck?

The ship is fantastic, three days was way too short. We rode the Aqua Duck three times, our daughter, who is 9, loved it, we all loved it. The shows were excellent, the food was great, the characters were awesome, and Castaway Cay was the best. We knew we had to book another, longer trip next year, just to enjoy the ship some more. We even booked the same room, we will never cruise again without a verandah, what a difference that makes. Any questions you have I wll try to answer for you the best I can.

Not many of us here yet! Just booked this week. Seems so far away, but just can't resist starting to plan!:yay:
Although we've had a few Disney holidays, we've never been on a cruise. Just a bit overwhelmed at the moment! I'm sure I'll reach info. overload soon.:faint:

Nice to meet everybody! We just booked our first cruise ever :woohoo: and I have no doubt after what I've been reading on the DISboard that we'll love it and that we'll want to book another one. I've already prepared DH for it :rolleyes1
The only thing that I still need to figure out is how we are going to spend the day in Nassau. lisaradz and skelly08, do you have any recommendations? Anything that you particularly liked?

Princessdidi - In Nassau we just did a little shopping and got back on the ship and enjoyed the pool. Many people on the boards like to visit Atlantis in Nassau. We may look into that this time.

Skelly08 - What dining/show time did you have & how did it work for you?

We've all just spent too much time choosing our own emoticons and just testing them out!:rotfl:
Welcome princessdidi. From Canada too! Is it your March Break?

New Brunswick. Not originally, but been here 10 years now and pretty nice city for the kids. Like to travel though!;)

Heading over to Atlantis is your best bet while in Nassau, you can get off the ship and do some shopping also. If this is your first time I would recommend getting off the ship and taking in Nassau. We have been to Nassau many times and plan on staying on the ship this time around. Which is another option for you....
We had the 6:00 dinner and 9:00 show. Which worked for us, we never felt rushed, plenty of time to shower and get ready, and the time in between dinner and the show was good. Works well for the Pirate night, cause you get out of the show and head right up to the Pirate show, with maybe ten or fifteen minutes to spare.
Good luck with all your planning, and if you need tips or ideas I will be glad to help.

Just saying Hello and we are joining you all on the 4th too. This is our first Disney cruise.... so how do we know who is a Disney Dis-board person and who isn't? Do you have a button or something?

I have been checking to see if this thread had gotten started, we booked last month... we just got back from Disneyland last week... but the real thrill will be next March..... One year from Today!!:goodvibes

Hi there Jenene, Welcome to our currently small group! Early days yet though!

Anyone else thought we might be lucky in having a slightly quieter cruise, with the fantasy beginning to sail just a few weeks later?

I too am a first-time cruiser, so don't have much insight!

Just extremely excited to hit that 1 year mark!

Thanks! So has anyone heard if you get to see the characters often? or is it like the parks with a 90 min. line to get a 2 second autograph? or is it more like the character breakfasts at goofy's kitchen... where they spend a few minutes kidding around?

Hi everyone:) Just booked this cruise while on our 4 day cruise :cool1: We had a great time on the Dream. I loved the new show Villians it was hillarious:lmao:. I've already got our hotel booked for Mar 3 at Country Inn and Suites. They have a great breakfast. Only a year to go...hope it goes quick.

Hi and welcome aboard! I'm always so excited to hear when people book straight away because they've had such a great time! As first-time cruisers the negative dream reports have had us a little worried!
Good to hear about the CI&Suites breakfast! We're booked there March 3rd too. Did you have a leisurely breakfast this time or get to the port early? Hoping by next year the check-in craziness will have calmed down.:goodvibes

Well, how wrong could I have been!!:rolleyes1
All insides sold out and prices through the roof!:scared1:
Yikes! Anyone as pleased as me that we're already booked?!
We have an 8A/2-porthole room and had been talking about maybe switching to a verandah. Not anymore! Told the kids no changes now!

I think that we are headed for a full ship!
I'm so glad that I booked a few weeks ago. I would even have preferred to book earlier but was waiting for next year's school calendar. Our room is now $1150 more!

We had a great time, great service, food, weather, everything. We did have a nice breakfast at CIS, not really rushing, there's no rushing with a 32mo :) I think we got to the port around 11 and finally got in the terminal 11:45 or so. We hope it's not so crazy this time too, but we still had fun, it was worth the wait.We met another couple on the cruise meets for our last cruise and they were from Canada also eh ;) I'll start up a "kids thread" in the near future so all kids can get to know each other before we cruise. I did that on our last one , Rogan really liked it. She'll be 9 next year and Evie will be 3.
