Dreaded DVC "We are Working on It" message

I just ran into this issue. I am on the phone with DVC support as I type this. As I described the issue, the cast member immediately said that they are very aware of an issue with borrowing from resale contracts. Apparently, the on-screen calculator also does not work and always shows half of contract value, not what’s remaining to borrow. I was told they are definitely working on fixing it (no ETA), but whenever I see the dwarves, I need to call in.

But then don’t you wonder why it works for some and not others? It seems that it would be easy to check out that and make it work for all.

Oh, I agree. It sounds like there is some sort of data issue with some owners. It should not be difficult to figure out what the issue is and either clean up the data and prevent it from happening again, or re-programming to ignore the data error and process as normal. I give it 2 days to find the specific data issue (not including the ‘why it happened’ question), 1 day to re-code, 1 day for validation and testing, and then up to 30 days to get it into their production cycle for deployment. Considering this appears to have been a known issue for much longer, my guess is either way off, or this has a low priority.

Its most likely not worth their time when at some point the 50% rule will be removed and it will all work again. They most likely dont even have a any dedicated IT staff for the site development.
 
I’m unable to book at the VGC at 11 months out (Feb 15-21, 2022) with our September 2021 allotted points for our home resort...the Dwarfs are really getting annoying. I called yesterday and they noted my issue and put a hold on a room, but can’t confirm. They will process as soon as the ”known” issue is fixed. Call me skeptical, but I put very little faith in Disney IT to solve the problem and for DVC MS to send the confirmation. I will find another hour tomorrow to call again. I refreshed, cleared cookies, used different devices and still get a Hearty Hi Ho!

Yea. I got through this morning. CM found the room I wanted, put it on hold, then I had to wait another 20 minutes for someone from IT support to do some magic and assign the room to me. Fortunately, the room I wanted was still available. She told me afterward, it was the last one of its kind for those dates. I am happy I won’t have to deal with this for another year.

I had the same issue trying to book VGC for Feb.11-15, 2022 through the website and also with DVC MS.
MS told me that they would call me when my hold clears into a confirmed reservation, however I have not heard back from them. Hopefully the problem is resolved quickly.

Well I'm not happy that this happened to you too, at least it wasn't just me....One-off problems with Disney take years to resolve...:) I'm on my 50-min hold now to see if there was any progress. I can't even get the DVC webpage to load so far today.

I am a long time member and log into the website frequently. I am amazed at ow often people are having issues and problems. This seems to be database or server issues and perhaps it is time to bring in the Amazon or Google team to assist
 
We got our confirmation for our dates in Feb 2022. My faith in DVC and Disney IT is a bit restored.
