Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem’s Free Dining Extravaganza

I had lots of fun catching up this morning! Of course now i am starving and I'm not sure cereal is going to cut it...:rolleyes1

Loving reading your reviews. I was debateing about switching an ADR I made for Tony's Town Sqaure since we also have ADR's at Via Napoli and Tutto Italia during our trip but after seeing the pics I have decided to keep our ressie at Tony's since we have never been there.

Your review of Le Cellier helped too........I have been second guessing eating there but I think I will keep my ADR now.

Everything you have showed so far looked so yummy can not wait to read more.

So glad you had a great lunch at Le Cellier. We have a lunch ADR coming up and it is our first visit there. That steak sounds delicious!:)

Good to hear a positive Le Cellier review! I've heard some mixed things recently. I know you mentioned that it's 2 credits, but is lunch still 1 credit? If so, it looks like a good deal because you got some really great food! (Of course, I'm sure it's still a good deal even for 2 credits!). That moose dessert is too cute ;)

Yes, lunch is still one credit. I know I'm not OP but we double checked that before booking it ourselves.

Loving your report and pictures so far !!

The carrot cake cookie is one of my favorites, always a must do !!
:cool1:

What great and entertaining reviews ! We're enjoying reading them.

And, OMG, *where* did your DH get that Mr. Toad T-shirt ??

I must have one immediately ! :goodvibes

Just Got caught up on this and I'm so happy you decided to do a dining review! I love it! I don't think I've ever seen the Bavarian cheesecake and it looks wonderful! I went to Le Cellier on our last trip and it was amazing so I made a reservation again for our trip in august. But I've been seeing some not so favorable reviews on here lately so I was a little nervous. I'm so happy to see that you enjoyed it so much! Your review was exactly like I remember it. Whew!

You and DH are so adorable! Love the photos!

I am so happy to hear that you are feeling reassured about Le Cellier, as you should!!! I hope you enjoy your meal there as much as we did when you go down in August. And yes the Bavarian cheesecake was DELICIOUS!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

Yes it is 1 credit for lunch, that is why we went that route. Thanks for reading!!:goodvibes

Thanks for reading!! The Chef got that shirt in the shop outside of Mickey's Philharmagic about 2 years ago. It is a great shirt!!:thumbsup2

Now since we are not normally open to close park exploring people (we love our down time at the pool in the afternoons) we planned on heading over to the Magic Kingdom for dinner and then relaxing on Main Street for the castle shows. This was another quick service meal that we were all looking forward to but again needed to go our separate ways to order and meet up once we all had our food.

I knew all along that my trip wouldn’t be complete without a Casey’s hot dog. I know, I know….but something about enjoying a hot dog in the Magic Kingdom just makes me so happy. The cheese sauce pumps don’t hurt either. ;) On the other hand, DH knew that for him he absolutely had to eat at Pecos Bill on our trip. So DH and DFIL went to Pecos Bill while DMIL and I went to Casey’s. We decided we would meet up at Pecos Bill to find a place to eat since it has such a large dining area.

Casey’s is a busy place and I can see how for someone new to the dining plan or Casey’s may feel overwhelmed. However having a friend and a roommate who worked there during their college program, we knew the drill. I must say though, be prepared for patience. It tends to have long lines!!
That night was no exception. We got right in line and knew we had a wait a head of us. The whole time we waited we discussed whether or not the cotton candy I kept seeing people walk away with would count as a dessert with your quick service meal on the dining plan. I knew I would not be able to finish it all, but just the fact that you could potentially get a giant bag of cotton candy as my dessert excited me. Seriously, bless my DMIL’s heart because all I could talk about was that giant bag of cotton candy. Thankfully, we had some luck! :thumbsup2

Here is my hot dog with sauerkraut and fries. Unfortunately the sauerkraut covers my dog so much it is hard to see. Remember that you add on your own fixings, so no big deal if you are not a sauerkraut fan! And for some reason my cheese sauce is not in this picture, just know that there was a lot of it and it was yummy! :cool1:

And of course, here is the much anticipated cotton candy. Can you believe this counts as your dessert??

Finally we carefully traversed the Magic Kingdom with trays of food in hand and met up with our boys at Pecos Bill. They had found us a lovely outside table to enjoy our dinner. The Chef ordered the deluxe angus cheeseburger from Pecos Bill. This is served with onion rings and barbeque sauce. Yumm!!

For dessert he ordered the classic quick service brownie.

From what he told me that night, it was quite yummy. I cannot confer with him right now since he is out of town, but from the pictures I must agree that it looks quite tasty!! Another nice feature of Pecos Bill is it's do it yourself fixings bar. If you want mushrooms, then add them! If you are like me and can't stand them, skip them! All in all it was a delicious dinner at the Magic Kingdom and it was nice to have an evening not tied into what time we have to be at dinner. We were free to do what and when we wanted and we all knew we wanted to see the Main Street Electrical Parade, new Castle show and Wishes! I am not going to post pictures of the new show, I thought about it but I know I didn’t want the surprise ruined before I went so I do not want to ruin it in case you have not seen it. Just know that it is INCREDIBLE!! We were left practically speechless and utterly perplexed at how they do that! :confused3

Here is a little bit of evening magic to leave you with.

It doesn’t get any better than that, does it?

UP NEXT: Quick breakfast at CBR and FINALLY a trip to the Animal Kingdom!!! :)

That pic of Magic Kingdom made my day!! Love it!!!!!!:thumbsup2

Awesome report!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

That bag of cotton candy is huge! What a great deal on dessert! I know the feeling of just wanting a hot dog and french fries sometimes. Good choice ;)

Sorry it’s been a while; I’ve been really busy and am excited to finally have some down time to get back to writing and reminisce about our trip! :thumbsup2

We got up the next morning and were in need of some nourishment before our day in the Animal Kingdom. As many of you know this is a particularly hot and tiring park. So of course that calls for a good breakfast of:

743-1.jpg

A delicious cheese danish, what else? Those are completely addicting and it is something about the cheese danish’s in Disney World. They are on their own level. :lovestruc

The hubby continued his muffin fest with this little beauty:

741.jpg

A mango ginger muffin. He said that this muffin was good but very different. Apparently this is a tropical flavored muffin.

Next we were on our way to the Animal Kingdom. We had a busy morning but productive morning and managed to get on Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Maharajah Jungle Trek and see a Flights of Wonder show all before lunch. This was without doing too much rushing too. The details and themes at this park are absolutely incredible and so creative. It is worth it to slow down and take it all in! The queues are worth waiting it just so that you can see all the details the Imagineers included. OK I am off my soapbox. On to the food!!

We had trouble deciding where we wanted to eat. For us it was a decision between Yak and Yeti counter service or Flame Tree Barbeque. We love both, but settled on Yak and Yeti. One thing I will say about Yak and Yeti is that the seating area gets hot. There is no indoor seating and if it is a real hot day it can be a bit much- at least for me. Luckily this was another nice day and not too hot at all. As we were waiting in line, studying the menu and discussing what we were going to eat, my DFIL asks “I wonder what the Aslar chicken sandwich is like?” I look at the Chef and he looks at me and we both have the same reaction. Aslar?? We very quickly and not very politely pointed out my DFIL’s mistake. It was an ASIAN chicken sandwich. Here is the menu of the “Aslar” sandwich.

Too funny. Poor DFIL, it will take a while for him to live that one down. ;)

Next are our entrees. The Chef went with the Sweet and Sour Chicken.

935.jpg

He really enjoyed this, as I know he has before. I went with the Honey Chicken.

937.jpg

It was also tasty, however the one thing that I am still getting used to at Yak and Yeti is that they serve the meat on top of the rice in a take-out container like this:

936.jpg

So you kind of have to eat some of your meat until you get to the rice, or dig around a bit to find it.

We both went with the brownie for dessert:

934.jpg

The same we’ve been having all week, it was good enough. I can’t remember if they offered an Asian style dessert but I feel like they should.

Finally it is worth noting the GIANT sodas they serve here:

933.jpg

There are many places that offer these huge sodas on the meal plan. I don’t know if it was the stick in place of a straw that made the drink seem enormous or just my need for hydration and caffeine. Either way that giant soda hit the spot!

Lunch was yummy and gave us plenty of energy to finish up the Animal Kingdom and head back for some swimming. This was one of the many days that we also got a cheese fries snack at the CBR before the pool. Unfortunately I do not have a single picture of these fries!! This must be because I only took my camera to the pool once or twice and it was not one of the times that we had cheese fries. However, they were yummy and they do count as a snack credit!! Delicious!! Plus it's me and it's cheese fries, so I was thrilled each time we got them!!

Up Next: Disappointment at Kouzzina and making up for it with snacks from the Boardwalk Bakery!

Glad you're back! Thanks for posting!

We love Y&Y both the CS and the TS. The honey chicken is my favorite and we always get the eggrolls for a snack credit too!

Can't wait to hear more!:goodvibes

Holy Danish!:lmao: That looks good. Ive read other people's posts about how addicting the danishes are. I don't think I've ever had one in WDW. I guess I'll be adding that this year ;)
