Dr Phil...Family in Crisis

I taped this, and she really is horrible. I keep wondering if Dr. Phil will be able to help them. Somehow I think that they are too far gone.

The first Dr Phil family must be saying "Whew, these people make us look a heck of a lot better!" :teeth:

Does Dr Phil actually think this woman is going to change into decent person???? He certainly has his work cut out for him!

Did you see the advertisements for next weeks show. I think she is still complaining she is misrepresented, and Dr. Phil tells her to leave then, and let him get a person up there that wants advice and DOES want to change.
I don't think she wants to change at all. I think she is a manipulator, and she can't face the truth.
She says having ALL those kids stresses her out, so why is she having another? She says she uses birth control? How is that possible if she is pregnant twice in a year?
I wouldn't want to be her husband and sleeping with her when she has cheated on him 3 times. What STD's could she have.
And for her to be married 3 times? and cheated on the 2nd husband, she is the problem! UGH people like that give us wifes and mothers a bad name.

Anyone can have children, not everyone is a able to be a mother. My heart aches for her children and her disregard for them. As horrifying as it is that she gives her children up, perhaps in the long run getting away from her is a gift.

She says she uses birth control? How is that possible if she is pregnant twice in a year?

Her excuse for that 1 is that the family is around 100K in debt. They also have NO health insurance, so when her prescription for the pill ran out she could not go get another prescription with no money to visist the doctor.
Their kids don't even visit the doctor. But she wears these nice clothes on the show, and visits tanning salons all the time.

Misrepresented my ***!!

I know why she's pregnant. She likes being pregnant. She likes how the baby makes her body feel while growing inside her. My mother always said how much she loved being pregnant with me and my sister. Fortunately, my mother also loved us after we were born. This woman has absolutely no concept of love. Once the babies are born they drain her energy, and give her fits.

She gave up her last baby because she didn't want him to be known as the "affair child". If she really cared all that much for him she'd have done a closed adoption and left him to his new life. With maybe a small info packet for him to see when he was old enough. This woman is just plain nuts. And if i were her husband i'd have taken the older daughter and the 4 yr old, and LEFT. But noooooo, he's just stupid.

Dr. Phil is right to say she is a master manipulator. But she reminds me of a sociopath. I have no problem imagining her on trial for killing someone who didn't giver her what she wanted.

On another Dr. Phil note: I found out on monday that he had Brooks and Dunn on the show as a Valentine's gift for Robin. Did anybody tape that? I just love em, and I would love to see that show.

Sorry I didn't tape it but if you are a fan, I really hope you can find a way to see it. I'm not a Brooks and Dunn fan but that Dr. Phil surprise had me tearing up it was so beautiful. Maybe they will re-run the episode?

I can hardly believe that she calls herself a mother...more like a person who forsakes her family at every turn. She acts outside the needs and emotions of those she should love the most. I almost felt she was glad that her son went away, per Dr. Phil -- so she wouldn't be bothered with another person to care for.

I also can't stand how she takes her 'religion' as an excuse not to work/ provide. If the Mormon church states that the wife is to nurture her family --- then do it and do it completely like a loving mother should. I was raised in a Mormon family (not so now since I married a Catholic) and her behavior should warrent intervention by her bishop. Those who know a bit about the Mormon chuch will understand when I say she is certainly not "temple worthy", which the Mormon church teaches is one of the greatest examples of the parent to the children. Her 'church' is a crutch for (incorrectly) explaining her bad behavior. It would be better served by using its teaching to lay a strong foundation for her family. The Mormon church is BIG on the family unit and family harmony! (Also, my Dad was excommunicated in the 1970's for having affairs)

Many ladies feel heightened by being pregnany (I certainly did)... the difference is that I love my babies (2) so much that I could cry right now over how blessed I am to have them -- living, growing, healthy, loving and wonderful. I am a stay at home Mom to give them what my husband and I believe is the best foundation, I don't stay home inspite of them.

My last thought is, this woman thinks she is the victim and correct in her mental process / actions. I don't think she will be 'fixed'. The best thing Dr. Phil could do is to empower the other members of that family to survive healthy in that house and then leave when the time comes. Oh, I want to shake her or hug her family.

Sorry this is long and for the mispellings... got to go my 8 month old is trying to walk - really!
