We leave in under two weeks and I must be having pre-trip anxiety.

I had a dream...........................we were at AK during EMH. Entering the park, it didn't seem crowded.
But when we got back to the Safari, the standby said 90 minutes. We got in line anyway.
As we moved forward, like little ants all in a line, we thought "this is taking to long." So we started to get out of the line. The people behind us said "Look, it really is moving quite fast. You should stay in line."
So we did. It only took us 45 minutes to get through the serpentine-like queue.
When we reached the boarding point, we realized that we weren't in line for the Safari. It was a line for the buffet at Donald's Breakfastasaurus!
People were just slowly trudging along, like zombies, their trays full of little donuts and scrambled eggs.

Should I visit a shrink and have this analyzed????

I must be anxious because we are going to AK on EE day and we have a 10am PS for Donald's.
Is it worth it? Will a Monday EE day at AK be completely nuts?
Should I change my PS to a different day and avoid EE at all costs?

I don't know what to do...................

I normally don't have this much anxiety about our trips.

:D
Lay down here on the couch and let Dr Perdidobay help you...
Deep,
deep inside, you have a yearning to do it all, and early, yes?!!

It must be weighing on your mind to do the Safari before eating, no?

Close your eyes and visualize the short, short line....... now see yourself enjoying your nice PS.
:D

~clearly you must stay away from little donuts and scrambled eggs! They make you walk like a zombie ;)

ENJOY YOUR TRIP! It will all go well....now, when I snap my fingers.......::yes::

Hey Chim..RELAX!!!! Just play it by ear and you will be fine. If the place is packed due to EE just eat and then jump to another park if necessary. We will be eating at Donald's next Wednesday, I will be sure to look out for those ZOOMBIES! Have you seen the new Dawn of the Dead movie or something? I am getting worried about what the crowds will be like too, my kids can't wait to swim and I am worried that SAB will be a mob scene! Oh well, I guess I need Freud too!!! Lacee

perdidobay and laceemouse,

you guys both have me laughing here at the computer.

And no, I haven't seen the new Dawn of the Dead movie. I wonder where the zombie walk came from?!

I guess I really am overthinking the AK/EE/Donalds Breakfast thing.

I need to learn to relax and go with the flow...............................

hee hee...I dreamt that the castle was no bigger than my house and that MK was just a big indoor mall! Too much Disney on the mind!

Sounds like you're afraid if you go to the breakfast, you will end up in long lines afterward! LOL! I have crazy dreams about Disney, too. For some reason, I always start running thru my plans right when I'm nodding off at night!

I'm sure you will have a great trip. Next time dream that you are ON the safari and it is 90 minutes long! Now, that would be cool!

I call these kinds of dreams my "miss the bus" dreams.

Every year when I was a kid, on the night before the first day of school, I would dream that the bus was coming down the street and I was still trying to get dressed. Only my dress was too big or I had 2 different socks. Anyway, I just could not seem to get out the door and the bus would go by.

Even now, before a big event, I will have my "miss the bus" dream. Last night I was in the car on the way to the airport (in my dream), and my husband announced that we were giving another girl on my daughter's team a ride. Only he "wasn't sure" where she lived! I was screaming at him about how I tight time was and now he announces this!!! I'm still a little PO'd at him, even if it was dream...it sounds like something he would do!:)

I know exactly how you feel but what is wild for me is we are just back and I am still dreaming of all the sights and rides!

The early entry into AK is wild. We lined up near the ticket takers maybe 10 people back. We had our packs inspected and got into the park and people started running. Yes, literally running for the safari. The CM's stopped everyone at the Tree of Life and roped the area off for a mini parade opening cermony thing and as soon as the ropes dropped people started running again! We hit the fast pass at like 8:06AM and it was for 10AM already! We waited in the standby line and it took us about 35 minutes then we came back and rode again later with the fast pass.

Asia did not open until after 9 AM. The times of the last safari varied. We were told it depened on the setting of the sun and weather. One night it was like 5:45PM and the rest of the park closed at 6PM.

Sounds like EE could definately be a bit crazy.

We have never done an EE, so there again is probably another reason for my anxiety.

So I take it everyone heads for the Safari?

Perhaps we should hit something else first.

EE for the day we are going is 7am.

Any other advice?

We were there in June and did AK for EMH and had no problems with crowds because there weren't any! In fact, the CM was standing outside It's tough to be a Bug trying to get people to come inside. Maybe that's an idea for you; get a fastpass for Safari and go see It's Tough to be a Bug.

Here's my most recent Disney dream: We arrive at MK at opening and can't find anyone to take our picture with our mouse ears. A CM tells us to come with him and he'll find a place with the best light. He takes us inside a building and then through a series of offices. We never got a picture taken; in fact, we couldn't even find our way out of those darned offices!

BTW, how do you pronounce your daughters name? My daughter is named Brenna, which I rarely see anywhere else, but I've never seen 'Brenne'. Just curious...

:wave2:

Hunnypots

That is too cool! My daughter's name is pronounced Brenna.
I have only twice met or heard of another girl named Brenna.

My great grandfather was from Ireland, so I searched and searched for a name to honor that heritage. It was either Brenne or Teagan.

When she was born, she looked like a tiny elf and Teagan just didn't seem to suit her. So Brenne it is!

Means "Raven haired", but as you can see my daughter is a far cry from being a raven haired beauty!

:wave2:

I had to add that we are Texans too! Odessa, the armpit of Texas!!!

Chim Chiminey,

That is so cool! I am of Irish heritage also and that is where I got my daughter's name. Since she is also hispanic on her father's side, we were pretty sure "raven haired" would suit her even before she was born. And it does!

LOL about Odessa! I understand completely! My DH is from that part of the state, too.

We were at AK on Monday 3/15. It was an EE day and it was our worst experience at WDW! We did head directly back to the safari to get a FP. We were able to ride the main things we wanted to ride - Kali River Rapids, Dinosaur, Primeval WHirl (which I hated), and the SAfari - but it was wall-to-wall people. We waited 50 min. for Bug's LIfe, which was a miserable experience.

I guess go for it - you can't have a perfect day every day! - but prioritize and strategize! And be there EARLY!

Have a magical time!
