Dr. Cinderella's Happily Ever After! WP/GF 2/14/12- End of Honeymoon & Trip Report!

I LOVE THE DRESSES and THE SHOES!!!

Where did you get the white one for your bridal shower? I am looking for something like that to wear for my rehearsal dinner!! I love the pink one as well!!

I like it longer because it's so flowy, but like PP said if your not being escorted then might want it to be shorter. I think it will look great either way!!

Do you know what, I am so jealous - you are sooo pretty!!!

Those dresses are gorgeous, I really like the pink one. Think I would shorten the third one too. It's quite formal as it is and shortening it will make it less so.

Thanks everyone for the compliments on my dresses and shoes! I think it would be a good idea to get the long dress shortened as well, I am just nervous! As far as the other dresses, the bridal shower one is by Phoebe Couture and I got it from Neimann Marcus and the pink one is from Betsey Johnson. I just love her dresses!

I love your dresses. I do agree that the third should be shortened but it is beautiful the way it is too. I think you will look great either way!!!

I just read through you PJ and love all you plans so far! Your locations are all wonderful choices and some of my favorites in for DFTW events! I love the Napa and Somona rooms, as well as the Whitehall room and patio, if I were having less people I would have deff. chose one of these for my reception. I also love the GF marina, I REALLY wanted to do a cocktail hour there as well, but my wedding is in June and I finally decided it's not worth the risk of heat/rain and having my guests be uncomfortable, but I think it would work great in February and would love to see how it turns out! Your engagement pictures are amazing! Some of the best I have seen on here. All the dresses you picked out are really great! I don't know about shortening the rehearsal dinner dress, I think it would be ok because it will be at night in February, so I think it is appropriate. Although the shoes are amazing, so I would want to show them off! Can't wait to hear more plans!

LOVE the shoes! I've been looking (aka drooling) over Louboutins. Part of me thinks that I will never buy shoes that expensive again so I should splurge for the wedding, the other part of me thinks no one will notice or see them lol. They're fabulous though and I'm jealous!

"Bride" Clothes! I couldnt resist buying some cute bride stuff!

This one I want to wear to get ready in the morning of the wedding

Gifts!
I had a lot of fun picking out presents for my loved ones for the wedding, so I hope everyone likes them! But I am just worried one of the recipients might see them here since this is a public forum, so I took them down until after the wedding!

Home Reception?

Wanted some advice about this, I was not planning on having a second reception at home, but my future Mother in Law keeps mentioning that she wants to have one for us and I am not sure if we should or not. We made our guest list already, and while it is a somewhat small wedding, I dont think there are a ton more people I would want to invite, which is kind of the point of having a home reception right? And do I really want to have a whole other party just for the few friends our parents couldnt invite? It is nice of her to offer to do this, I just think I would rather focus on the wedding itself. Any opinions, what would you do? Thanks!

All of the gifts are really great! I especially love the Team Bride tanks. So cute!

As far as an at home reception goes, it is a tough call. If there are a decent amount of people you are close with who are not making the trip, then it might be a good idea. Especially if you kept it casual. If there are only a few people you would invite, maybe you could just have those people over for a BBQ or a nice dinner and share wedding photos?

WOW you already got all your gifts!! That's so great!! I need to get thinking on to what I will get my girls soon. Where did you get the tote bag? I'm looking into something similar but a few places I've looked are pretty expensive.

LOVE the Mickey cuff links!!:cool1: soo cute!!

I really love the tea party dress. It is so girly and pretty. I really love the shoes you decided on but then again how can you not love anything by him. Everything looks great so far though! Cute gifts for the girls. As to the home reception, if she really wants to do something for you guys at home then maybe rent out a restaurant but only if that is what you really want. I mean how many more people is she looking to invite? Does she want you to have a second reception with flowers, music etc? Sit down and discuss it with her and be honest about your feelings. That is my advice.

Oh yeah DH wore the mickey cuff links for our wedding also and they looked so adorable! good choice :thumbsup2

Thanks for the compliments on the gifts! I hope everyone likes everything! The tote bags I actually found on Ebay, the sellers name is MonogramBagsNMore I believe, and they were around $10 or $15 each I believe. For the home reception my future MIL had 2 possible ideas- either in a park or a private cocktail party at a bar, so both pretty casual. I do like the cocktail party idea better, but my fiance likes the park idea better. She has offered to plan and pay for it, so I guess all I have to do is show up in a cute white dress. I guess I am just worried that people would be offended if they were invited to that but not our actual wedding? And do we invite those who came to the wedding as well? I would think yes, right? Should we send out invites for this before the wedding or after were already married? We would probably hold it a few months after the wedding. Sorry so many questions!

I don't think that people would be offended about not being married to the actual wedding or at least I would understand. I would say yes to invite the people who came to the wedding. I would probably send out invites after the wedding if it is going to be a couple of months. I hope that helps!!

Decor/Accessories Wise...I have bought some things already, again to spread out the cost!

I had this Aisle Runner made for the WP, which I think turned out great!

I bought this Gift Card Box for the Cards, not sure if I need a separate table for gifts or if I should just put this on the Guest Book Table?

Some cute castle themed napkins for cocktail hour and cake cutting time, I bought them in hot pink with silver writing

"I DO" and Rings Figurines...not sure where they will go yet but I thought they were so cute! Maybe on the sweetheart table in front of the flowers?

WOW love it all!!! Where did you get the isle runner? How long did you get it?

I love the bling frames and table card holders, where did you get those I'd like to have something like that!!!

Thanks Im glad you like everything! The aisle runner I got the 50' length, because I have read on here that is about the length of the WP aisle. The blingy stuff I actually got from Bed Bath and Beyond. My future MIL bought us the album and made us a nice collection of our proposal photos while we were still on vacation, it was so sweet! And she told me that had a collection of frames and a few other wedding things that matched them, so I had to get them! Im not sure if they are still selling this collection anymore or not. But it feels good to keep checking things off my to do list!

Everything looks great! I especially love the aisle runner! How long did it take for yours to come in? We want to order one too and I am just wondering when I should order it by.
