I've read different posts and I want to be sure I have this right.....
Can you actually be on the dining plan, pay for your child's meal out of pocket and then use it as an adult TS meal????? That's the way I understood it to be...... and, if so, how many children's meals make up an adult meal?????

1) Meals are not categorized as adult or child.
2) You have "x" number of TS, QS, and Snack credits.
3) And, yes, you could pay cash for the kids and use their credits for adults.
4) Just tell the server you are paying cahs for the kids.
5) Actually, it is a great way to add value to the DDP.

Officially, adults are not allowed to use children’s credits.

From the FAQ's page on the updated Disney’s MYW Dining Guide:
Q: Can adults use child meal entitlements?
A: Sorry, meal entitlements can not be shared between adults and children age 3-9.

:stir: Along with that you can also add a fake child onto your reservation, get the fake kid a dining plan and use all those credits too as adults.

I didn't mean it in a way to start anything.... I took it to be that if you pay for so many kids meals oop, then you can use the card for dining.... I didn't mean I wanted to get into anything "illegal" ..... Actually, my grandson gets tired of chicken nuggets, hotdogs etc. and I wanted to not order full adult meals but some adult entrees (as I did last time he went) and then use the credits as TS also if that would work out.... Sorry if I may have started something.... seems that it is easier and easier these days

Can a child order an adult entree? My 7 year old is NOT a fan of typical kid fare (chicken nuggets, mac-n-cheese, pbj). Her favorite foods are steak, baked potatoes, salads, broccoli, zucchini and other healthier options.

Is she able to order off the regular menu or only the kids menu??

At a TS restaurant, she will only be able to us her credits for a child's meal. I have heard of people order adult CS meals for their children. I have not yet used the dining plan so I'm not sure if this can be done or not.

the dining plan brochure has always stated that a child must order off the childs menu where available.....so can it be done yes but is it allowed???will this particular cm at that restaurant allow it???

Aren't there TS restaurants that don't have a child's menu, making it so that the child has to order from the adult's menu? That might be the way to go.

As far as I remember, the only two restaurants that don't have child menus don't accept the Dining Plan.

What if you have the dining plan for 3 adults and only two go?

Can you use the DP for that person?

You can use your dining plan credits in any combination you wish. If you have 3 adults on the dining plan and only 2 go to dinner, you have one unused credit--you can use it later in any way you'd like. The credits are for your total trip, not for each day.

Many kid menus don't have appetizers. Some TS restaurants allow children to order an adult appetizer along with a kid's entree and dessert.

Someone I know that went to WDW in Feb. told me that they were able to use 2CS credit for 1TS. Has anyone done this? I haven't read about this anywhere and curious. I plan to do mostly TS meals on my upcoming trip.

There have been lots of questions like that gs and the answer has bene pretty consistently that, no, you cannot use CS credits for TS meals.

Even if they allowed it, the exchange would be closer to 5CS per TS rather than 2-to-1.
