I have been using Downy Wrinkle Release for a few years. It really works well when you don't have time (or energy!) to iron. But now I can't find it anywhere and heard it was discontinued. It's on Amazon for $15 a bottle and I don't want to pat that. Does anyone know how to make it on their own?:confused3

I Fill the spray bottle about 3/4 the way up with water and about 1/4 of fabric softener. I've also read you can add vinegar which is a natural softener. Someone here will probably give you better measurements. It works great for me. Linda:)

Honestly? Just fill the bottle with water.

When I got my first downy's wrinkle releaser spray some years ago, I thought it was magic and was thrilled!! Then I ran out and could't get more right away. In desperation, I filled the bottle with plain water.

It worked exactly the same!!!

I love my spray bottle and even travel with it now so i don't have to use the iron in hotels.

I just bought a new bottle at Target probably 2 weeks ago, so they do still make/sell it. Either that our Target has old stock. :confused3

I usually water my wrinkle spray down because I like that it 'thins out' the fragrance. I am NOT a fragrance person at all (allergies) so I have to use Free/Clear detergent and softener. I am not always a fan of the 'wrinkle spray' smell.

My hubby says that all of Disney World smells the same - like Downy Wrinkle Spray! He is convinced everyone uses it there each morning and as you walk around the park that is all you smell! :rotfl2:

I have been buying the Dollar General's brand of this for around $1.75 a bottle. It works just as well and is a lot cheaper than the name brand. I heard about it from another person on the DIS board. :)

Yup! I did the same thing. Spraying the clothes with water, smoothing it out and letting in hang dry works just as well.

We make it routinely. We use about 1 part downy, or other brand to 10 parts water and add a little bit of alcohol. This helps it dry faster if you are doing it five minutes before you leave the house:thumbsup2. Sometimes we will spray it and then throw it in the dryer for a few minutes. We did try using water and found the little bit of downy in it works better for us.

I must be really old school because I still just hang stuff in the bathroom when taking a shower and let the steam take care of it.

I have to second the Dollar General wrinkle release. It works just as well for $1.75.

I agree with this. I used the Downy stuff a few times but then I discovered that water would do the same thing, much cheaper!!
