With all the construction going on, really how bad is it to get there by bus? Are the wait times for the buses whether going or coming bck to resort very long?

With all the construction going on, really how bad is it to get there by bus? Are the wait times for the buses whether going or coming bck to resort very long?

Bus is the way to go (and return.)

Getting to DTD from the resorts by bus at most times of day will be pretty easy.

DTD buses coming back to the resorts have ALWAYS been some of the slowest at WDW, but they
will handle more guests than the parking lots.

We were there this past week, we drove and managed to find a place to park but it was mid afternoon. There is so much construction going on in that area, I would strongly recommend using the WDW buses. I will say we stayed at SSR, and at times when we passed the bus drop off/pick up area, the buses were lined up out the main street, so they may be more delayed then usual. Driving in that general area is horrific, we went to dinner on Route 535 and the traffic was backup up at a stand still from DTD all they way down Hotel Plaza Blvd and out onto 535! We took what would be the longer way back to SSR on I4, but it turned out to be the easier way to go!

I will be avoiding this area like the plague until the construction is complete

We were there last week and took the bus from Port Orleans Riverside. The wait wasn't bad coming or going. We went for an early dinner.
