Downtown Disney?

Hi

I have been planning like mad for our August trip and have been trying to decide on how mch time to allocate to DTD?

Leaving aside Disney Quest, (which I think we will have trouble getting DS13 out of!) is there a lot to keep DS13 and DD11 amused?

We are planning to get tickets for Cirque Du Soliel and don't really fancy seeing a movie so any other suggestions would be gatefully received.

We are staying at OKW so will be able to get to DTD by boat

Most of DTD is taken up with shops. Although there are some nice restaurants including the new T-Rex restaurant.

We love DTD we go there quite a few times during our trips. Love Ghiradellis sundaes and sometimes we get freebies in the shop.
You will really enjoy Cirque du Soliel its brilliant. We like to go to DTD in the evening we really enjoy the atmosphere,as we are staying at SSR this year we will be there quite often.

We don't plan DTD time, just go there when we have some spare time to fill. I would just wait until you get there and go when you have time.
Personally I didn't like Cirque (or 'O' in Vegas) they are not my kind of shows, with 11 & 13 year olds I would say Blue Man Group is more for that age group but everyones different. Our 14 year old want to go back to BMG again after seeing it 18 months ago.

We love just wondering around DTD - its a great atmosphere and loads to look at / buy! We don't allocate any special time, just walk round after a meal there, or a little while in an afternoon if we come out of a park early!

We always go to DTD, usually at night, as like the others say there is a good atmosphere. The shops are worth a look in and Ghiardellis is a must - even if its just for a coffee and the kids an icecream. YOu can go to that Goofy bakery shop and get some goodies aswell - if you've got a sweet tooth.
