Please don't flame me, but when we went in off-season of last year, the Disney Scrapbook Store was LOW on supplies. I was kind of disappointed. There were only like 4 types of albums, some paper packets, three types of punches, Mickey scissors and tape.

Is that the way it always is or did I just go at a bad time (end of January)? We will be going back this year in mid-November and I would love to find more stuff, things that are not in the LSS.

One thing I am hopeful for, the design I wanted of Mickey as the Sorcerer's Apprentice with all the icons around him is now an album!!!

TIA

I'm not even sure where this is located? :confused3

It is in the downtown marketplace.. It is a cute store (they seemed to be well stocked when i went last november..) but, to me, there isn't much stuff there that you can't get in other stores in WDW. And most is sort of expensive.. but they did have some cute things. I would definately give them another chance when you go back this yr.

I wasn't that impressed at the DTD store. They had a limited selection and the only paper they sold was in collections. I only wanted a few sheets from each and knew that the rest would ned up going to waste. I got a fun punch there, but that was about it.

When I was there in May they had converted a corner of the store as the photo session area where they take the pictures for the girls who become princesses at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique - the line of little princesses and their parents was in front of items on the wall so you couldn't even get over there to see what they had for sale. I like the paper, but as others have said it's sold in sets that are not cheap, and I know I wouldn't use all of it and it's the same stuff you can get in other places in Disney.

Also, there is SO much Disney scrapbook supplies out there that you can get in just about any scrapbook/craft store, that in my opinion, some of it is cuter than the stuff you can by IN WDW. But, i agree, at first i thought it would be like a real scrapbook store, and it definately wasn't.

There are a few things that I have only found at the Scrapbook store. When we were there in May, I felt they were well stocked.

One hint, if you are an AP holder, go to the big World of Disney store first. They have some of the same stuff and AP holders get a discount there (but not at the scrapbooking store).

That's what I do too - there's very little that you can get at the Scrapbook Store, but not at World of Disney.

Whew! I thought it was just me! :cloud9: I know that there is a ton of cute stuff out there, I was just hoping that I could find something really special.

I will definitely be wiser and buy stuff as I see it when we go back. I had left it all for our last night and then had a major meltdown when I couldn't find much.

Thanks again to all who answered me. :)

And thanks about the info about the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique photos in there. DD has an appointment and we can kill 2 birds with one stone.

Ok i was there in jan 05 and all i bought was the castle punch and the box of all 4 parks stickers .. The rest i bought after we came home from acmoore or any place on line .. remeber to save everything and use maps in your books also ..the amount of pictures i took i used 4 top load books and wouldnt of bought enough books at the time.. I really didnt weant to spend that kind of money since i also have done 2 books for each of my 5 kids ......

Good luck and have fun scrapping :goodvibes

I think MOUSEGEAR in Epcot has a wide variety of scrapbooking supplies.
I always check-out that place.

The Art of Disney stores at Epcot and MGM also have some scrapbooking supplies as well as the main store in each park (which sometimes have park packs for that park that you can only get there).

I too found that at World of Disney(which I can get a Disney Vise or AP discount) had everything I wanted from the scrapbooking store.

I got a pack specifically for Animal Kingdom over at the shop by Kilamanjaro Safaris. Do any of the other 3 parks have kits specifically for that park? And if so, do you know which gift shop? TIA :)

I have seen them, I think it is in the first shop on the opposite side of the garage in MGM. I don't know the name of the shop but that is where most of there scrapbook stuff is kept although they may also have it in the Art of Disney stores.

In Epcot it was in the camera shop that I saw most of their scrapbook stuff. I haven't actually bought any of the individual park packs- I have just seen them.

Thanks...I'm going to write the info down, put it with my Disney stuff, & check out those places next time! Maybe I'll get lucky!!

The last time I was there was in 2004 and back then they had nothing. I don't know if they've added stuff since then. They should! I'd buy it! I just made sure I bought lots of postcards to use as accents, etc.
