downtown disney food shopping

we are going to downtown disney our first day. if there a small grocery store close to downtown disney that we could buy some breakfast items. our resort - animal kingdom offered to let us shop online and they would have them at our room for us.. did anyone try this.. we would like to go with the least expensive one. thanks

If you have a car yes. There is a Goodings (expensive) at the end of Hotel Plaza. There is also a Winn Dixie a little farther up 535.

There really is no grocery store at DTD. The Hess station across the street from DTD is said to have some items but I can't say for sure

If you are staying at AKL and will have a car, there is a Publix & Target very close by.

If no car, here are two services frequented by DVC members http://www.wegoshop.com/ and http://gardengrocer.com/
