I'm looking for some different options to watch a Football game in October. I know that te ESPN Club at The Boardwalk is a good place to catch a game but that would require driving over there. I was wondering if any of the Restaurants in DTD have bars in them with televisions where you can watch a game? Has anyone just gone in an eating establishment over there and strictly sat at the bar? Any advice is appreciated.
TIA:goodvibes

I do not know about tvs at DTD but if you take the water taxi from there to POFQ the pool bar there has tvs that always have games on.

Thanks. Hmmmm...wonder if POR has the same thing at their pool bar?

my suggestion for DTD is either bar at Rainforest or T-rex, otherwise there really isnt anything.
And you really dont have to drive during your stay, unless you really want to. Once we park at our resort we dont see our van till we leave. It takes a few minutes of research and planning to find the best way to get where you are going. We figure out which bus or boat we need, before going to bed or maybe a quick phone or go to guest services at your resort. Just a suggestion to maybe help save some money.

There is Kook's sports bar at Buena Vista Palace Hotel which is close to DTD. I've never been there but it might be your best bet for a sports bar by DTD.

POR/POFQ has entertainment during the week; Wednesday through Saturday at POR, so they turn off the TV's from 8 pm to midnight.

If I want to watch a game on those nights, I go to RFC by taking the water taxi over from POR. I have spent several hours watching games over the years there.

The giraffe seats seem to be the most comfortable, followed by the zebra seats. Seriously, after a few hours, they all get uncomfortable.....

Entertainment is in the Scat Cat Club, not the pool bar. The pool bar has multiple TV's, usually airing ball games (especially that time of year.).

I personally would walk from DTD to the Ale House, (near crossroads) we went there the other year and they had loads of sport on and great food and Beer.

We watched the Sunday and Monday night games:cheer2: last year at the bar in POR. The bartenders were very friendly and I think happy for the business The ESPN Club had outside seating last year during the Saturday & Sunday afternoon games with large TVs , I believe adult beverages were served:drinking1.The one side of the Club was self seating so we went in, got a drink and waited for a table or seats at the bar to open up.
DH and I think Disney missed the boat by not putting an ESPN Club in DTD:lmao:
