Hi
We plan on going to Downtown Disney on October 30th because we heard the have a party and special activities. Can anyone tell me if this is correct and how I can find out more aboutthe activities?

I know they do trick or treating. I don't know if it will be on the 30th though. When Halloween was on a sunday night they did t/t the night before. One year I'm almost positive it was ON halloween. There weren't really activities that I noticed. Just the trick or treating. It was very busy. But worth doing, if you're not home on halloween. Of course they'll get more candy than they could eat in a year (I'm pretty sure I just threw the last of it out!) if you go to MNSSHP. The campground is a great place to be ON halloween. The year we were there they had games and crafts all day long, a family scavenger hunt and at night they had the children parade in their costumes, a pumpkin carving contest and Chip and Dale came to the sing along in costumes. There was also a surprise visit from the headless horseman who tossed a bag full of treats to chip and dale for the kids. Noone ever asked us for our room keys or anything, I think if you took the boat over to the campground to join the festivities, noone would be the wiser. They started about 9 or 10 in the am. I also found out from planning several trips during halloween that the hotels itineraries are not usually set too far in advance so if you call and find out what's going on they may tell you that there are no set activities yet. If you can wait to make your plans I'd call after the 1st of Oct. and noone at the resorts seemed to know much about trick or treating in DTD. Cross your fingers and hope that you get to talk to someone who has a clue!!

Good luck, maybe we'll see you there- Keep your eyes peeled for a group of about 12 gangsters and flappers!!!

I pasted this from the mouse savers web site for you:

Family-oriented events such as trick-or-treating, a pumpkin patch and a dance party are offered at Downtown Disney from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on October 30 and 31.

*

Trick-or-treat bags are distributed at Disney's Wonderful World of Memories, Once Upon a Toy and World of Disney. Kids can visit close to a dozen locations that will be distributing treats (most or all of the Disney-owned stores and carts participate).
*

The Pumpkin Patch is located at Tinker Toy Tower.
*

The Dance Party is held at the Dock Stage.

Pleasure Island offers Halloween-themed entertainment and dancing on Halloween (October 31) as well as the Friday and Saturday nights prior to Halloween (if Halloween doesn't fall on a Friday or Saturday).

Hope this helps!

Thank for the info I really appreciate it. T-beri we will quite the sight too. We have 16 in all!!
