Downtown choices

Can anyone suggest a restaurant in downtown for a casual dinner with two children ages 11 and 8. I tried to get ADR for T-Rex for a Sunday roughly 90 days away with no success. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise. My kids are getting a little older where maybe I don't need a Rain Forest Cafe type themed restaurant where you have to scream to be heard when you place your order. Any other restaurant out there with some type of distraction. I was thinking about trying Bongo's.

Try Googling T-rex, get their direct phone number and call them directly. They are not a Disney restaurant and release only a fraction of their tables to Disney for reserving through the Disney system.

Bongos is loud too from what I remember. Especially if they've got a band in there.

We like House of Blues. Just ate there on Saturday, and as usual, the food was very good.

I enjoyed my meal at Portobello's when I was there in April.
It's a nice restaurant, and it's Italian, so I feel like there's plenty for kids to eat - what child doesn't like pasta?

My grandmother and I made a meal out of sharing the antipasti platter and calamari.

Even though it's a counter service location and not a table service restaurant, I would highly recommend Earl of Sandwich.

Thanks for posting this. I'd been trying to get reservations for dinner for next week and wasn't able to online. I called and got reservations that way :woohoo:
