Downpours, DIS meets, and the Dining Plan - Our Week at WDW May 16-23 Final Thoughts

Hi everybody! On to day 3. This day was a special day we planned for the girls. Because Josie was officially 3 on this trip, she was able to do the Bibbidi, Bobbidi, Boutique. Lindsey had done it the past two trips and is quickly outgrowing it but we decided to do both girls as this would probably be our only chance to get both done at the same time.

So on the morning of the 18th we got up and got ready to find a bus to DTD. (If you read my PTR, you know this wasn't how it was supposed to be but I digress). It seemed like it took forever for a bus to come by that was headed to DTD. Once we were on the bus it didn't take long at all to get to DTD. The skies were really overcast but it wasn't raining. So we hurried over to the World of Disney store. We snapped this before picture..

It was only about 3 minutes and the fairy godmothers were letting us in to the boutique. The girls got their pamphlets and their fairy godmothers and we were on our way to becoming princesses. I have a TON of pics of this but I won't bother you with them all. Here is a pic of Josie while her FG was working on her hair. It was funny. Lindsey's FG did her makeup first and Josie's did her hair first. I like the look on Josie's face in this one.

Soon after this we were notiified that the girls clothing was ready in the royal dressing room. Josie was so excited! She kept saying "Look Momma", "Look Momma!"

After the girls were dressed. We headed back over to finish up the makeovers. I thought this one was so cute....Josie is blowing her nails. I think it's so cute because she's only 3. It's too funny how much of a little Diva she can be.

Anyway, after all was done here is the after pic!

We then headed over to the studio for the photoshoot that comes with the Castle package. Joe took these...

The girls had such a good time. After the studio shots it was getting close to 10:30 and we had a 12:05 ressie at CRT. We headed to the bus stop to hitch a ride to MK. This took FOREVER! It was 11:45 when we made it to MK. We had to hussle to make it to CRT in time. On the way over to MK, the flood started. I was so bummed. The girls had to wear ponchos over their beautiful costumes the rest of the day.

Anyway, we made it to CRT, checked in and was called within 10 minutes or so. On the way in, Joe took this...

The girls were each given another wand and a wishing star. Josie thought the wand was so cool and Lindsey was more drawn to the wishing star. Later the wands would become weapons of course.

The girls saw Aurora, Belle (in the blue dress), Snow White, and Jasmine. I won't bore you with the pictures. :thumbsup2 I was really worried about the food here because of all the bad reviews, but actually isn't bad. It was much better than Akerhaus last year. The waiter at CRT gave Joe a card and each of the princesses signed his card as they came by. It was a neat souvie.

This meal had Josie's most favorite dessert. She was amazed with the chocolate crown. She's a chocolate freak so this was like the coolest thing ever to her.

This meal was pretty good, and the atmosphere can't be beat. We will definitely do this again!

Up next, the rest of the princess day!

love it, love it, love it....girls are soooo sweet...
I miss having a little girl; sometimes I wish I would have had twins this go round, a boy and a girl, oh well!!
Josie and Lindsey looke like true sweet princesses...

great morning shots...sorry to hear it rained afterwards

I just love the pictures of Josie and Lindsey. I want to try CRT, but I know my boys wouldn't like it. Can't wait for more :surfweb:.

OMG...the girls looked like absolute dolls from their BBB experience...brought a tear to my eye. I wish they had that whe Jasmine was little, but to be honest, it would have been more for me than her:rotfl: She was not a girly girl when she was little and i so wanted her to be:laughing:

Another great review....

Love the BBB update! The more pictures the better girl...don't say we'd be bored! The ones you chose are great! I'll have to show DD. So she probably has email then...I'll have her look in a few.

The girls look gorgeous with their BBB makeovers. I agree the more pics the better :goodvibes none of us are bored. Love the CRT pics too. I'm with Josie, a totally chocolate freak. That stinks the girls had to wear poncho's over their dresses :headache:. I think that was the day we were absolutely drenched. looking forward to more popcorn::.

They are so cute in their costumes! I love the little wreath that the Tink outfit comes with in place of a crown.

Oh wow!! Your girls look gorgeous and it looks like they enjoyed the BBB! Girl--feel free to share as many pics as you like! I love looking at them! We ate at CRT that day at 10:05--so we missed you by about 2 hours. I know--I hated that I had to cover up my girl's outfits with plastic ponchos--uggh! Can't wait to read more!!

It is fun to dress them up and pretend they are sweet... Just kidding, actually they were pretty darn good the entire trip. I was impressed by how little they fussed with each other. At home is :scared1:

Your girls are gorgeous... and from the looks of it, a definete handful!!!lol
Girl, you have no idea how much of a handful these two can be. :goodvibes Thanks for the kind words...their looks are deceiving..:lmao:

We need to go again at the same time and you can come have all the cool meals with me, Joe and the girls.

Awwww, thanks for the kind words. I got teary a couple of times during the makeovers. I love to see my girls happy. I was so glad that they started doing this when it came out in 06. I'm kind of sad that Lindsey is outgrowing it though.

Thanks Tammy! I took over 800 pics and probably 30 during the makeovers. :rotfl: I just checked and Lindsey wrote an email to Gabby but didn't send it. It's sitting in the drafts folder. I will get with her tonight when I get home and we will get it sent out for sure.

Thanks Nichole! It was a day of complete soakedness. More coming. :goodvibes

I love the little wreath too. The wings came off within about 30 minutes but the wreath made up for it. I wish on the other princesses you could choose between the tiara or a crown. The little tiaras are too cute.

I know we missed you guys :sad2: but at least we got to meet at Ohana the next day! It was a bummer to have to cover them up. I will try to add more of my pics in the next update. :goodvibes

The girls looked so cute all done up! I love the pic of Josie drying her nails. Emily is the same diva way! If anyone comes near here when her nails are wet she says, "Stop right there, my nails are drying! No hugs and No kisses!" It cracks us up!! Sometimes I'll paint her nails just so she'll say it!

We loved our meal at CRT too! Definitely the best princess experience!

This is my 1000th post! Hooray!!!

Thanks Wendy! It was soo cool to read that you heard the baby's heartbeat today! You must be over the moon. :goodvibes

That'll work :thumbsup2.
Okay we're holding you to it! :woohoo:

Wow, what great pics you got of the girls all dressed up pretty from BBB! Love it!!!!
Thanks Pam! We love BBB!

the girls are just too cute! Love the BBB update!!
Thanks Nickie! It was a lot of fun....wish the rain would have held off so that we didn't have to pull ponchos on and off a bazillion times. I must of fixed Josie's hair 20 times that day. :)

The plans for my September trip need some type of boost. I am lagging on my planning. I guess I am still on the depressed side of coming home from Disney :sad1: I guess the only thing I really need to plan is dining and I am not getting much help with that from Roger :scared1:.

Sorry no update this week. This is Hot Rod Reunion week. I have been crazy busy with the event. I'm headed back out to the track in about an hour. Anyway, Lindsey's birthday is Tuesday and we're going caming next weekend but come heck or high water I'm going to get an update out this week. Be patient y'all, it's coming. :goodvibes

I have't bailed on ya!

Sorry you're not as pumped for planning right now. I understand the depression. It's kind of kicking my butt still too.

It's been one crappy thing after another here since we've been back. I really wish things would turn around. First Hannah, then the storm completely destroyed my gazebo in the back yard about a week and a half ago, then the pool got messed up, and after getting the pool repaired and going Joe fell in it vacuuming on Wednesday (has never had that happen in 10 years) and ruined his I-Phone. We have spent so much money since we've been back on stupid, crazy stuff. If it weren't for the Reunion this weekend I'd probably be in bed crying. :lmao:

Wow! man you guys have really had some tough breaks. Hope the reunion was lots of fun and ya'll have a great weekend camping! Take your time on your post.
Happy Father's DAy! and Lindsey Happy Birthday!!!

Oh my goodness, bless your heart. I am still sad about Hannah. I didn't know a storm got your gazebo. It has been one thing after another for you. I hope this weekend and the camping goes well.
