Download Itunes to Sansa?

Is there a way to download music from Itunes to a Sansa MP3 player? I have a gift card for Itunes, but I can't figure out how to get the songs onto my Sansa.

I *think* you need to transfer the songs to Windows Media Player. If you google "sansa" and "itunes" you should get instructions on how to do it.

You need the Rhapsody application.( I think you can download it free online) You go thru ITunes and load it to your hard drive, then transfer it from hard drive to Rhapsody. Can be a pain but our DS has a Sansa...it did take some doing for us to get the programs to work.

back when I had a sansa I burned the songs to an MP3 CD then uploaded them to Windows Media then transfered them to the player. I upgraded to a Ipod and it so much simpler.

This was my thought as well. Download to iTunes, burn a CD, then Re-rip to hard drive, and finally upload to Sansa. Not the easiest trek, but it can be done.

You don't need to jump through hoops by burning CDs or downloading Rhapsody. Just use Windows Media Player and import them. First change iTune's proprietary format to MP3s.

In iTunes:
To convert a song's file format:
Choose Edit > Preferences, click General, and then click Import Settings.

In the Import Using pop-up menu, choose the format you want to convert the song to, and then click OK to save the settings.

Select one or more songs in your library and choose Advanced > Create [Format] Version.

In Windows Media Player, select Add to Library from your music library menu.
