Down to double digits/how do you pass the time?

Ok, I am a very impatient person. Our last trip was in April and it was the 7 night land and sea. I decided and booked it in February just slightly 60 days prior. The wait was still really hard but it was our first Disney cruise and we found plenty of books and websites to keep us busy.

Ok, now we are going on the 7 night W. carribean on November 22nd plus 3 days at Disney. We booked it in May and just got it paid off. I do admit, it is much easier to pay for it this way but the wait is killing me. I know my passporter book inside and out, have gone to www.castawayclub.com constantly and this board constantly and every other so called DCL website. We almost have out shore excursions decided on and ready to fax mid Sept.

How do you keep from going crazy, especially those that are booked for next November, it is killing me to make it to this November!!! My girls are fine with it, they know we leave shortly after my smallest one's birthday so they are ok, it is mom and grandma who feels it is taking forever. We are in double digits finally though!!!

Hang in there, when I booked last year I had to wait 300+ days. Real life will distract you! Keep reading these boards and enjoy the ride, it's as much fun as the cruise!!!

I'll let you know as soon as I figure it out!! We have five days til we're in the double digit. I can't wait!!
I think it will be easier for me when I go back to work in two weeks. I work at a school. This wait is killing me!
We've been on cruises before, but the first time for our kids. I'm more excited for them. They don't know how much fun they'll have.
I've been trying to work on another trip for next yr. So that helps a bit for me.
I"m on this board everyday and trying to figure out things. I think I have it all figured out pretty much. That's what scares my family! ha ha..
We're doing the land/sea pkg. So we'll be at WDW four days, then the cruise four. So much to figure out! Much easier with a cruise only. Just enjoy it!!

So you see..I haven't helped here. But I can sympathize with you on this waiting game. I hate to wait!! I want it NOW!!

Booked Dec 01 for Nov 02. Last Nov we were so close to finally leaving the house after waiting 11months. At the 22hr countdown the cruise needed to be "rescheduled" by DCL!
Dec 02 we rebooked for this Nov 8th. I cannot wait to finally step onboard the ship.
The excitement is beginning to come back again. Something to do with the 12wk countdown. DS goes back to school Sept 2nd - thats my work hrs also go back to 35hrs/wk instead of 28. Summer has also flown by.

GO SHOPPING!!! I've been shopping alot these days to help me pass the time, and the fun part is that the stuff I'm buyin is for the cruise! I too will be going in November. I've been reading the boards everyday and I've even started throwing things into my suitcase. I'll probably need a bigger suitcase by the time we go.

I have a thin 3-ring binder that I fill with information on our destinations. Also, I surf the internet for coupons and info.

Last year we were on the Western and I had coupons for Cozumel (Senior Frog's and the other place)...info on Kino sandals (which are the most comfortable and inexpensive shoes that I've bought in a while)...coupons for Orlando restaurants...

Also, I begin the "can't we start packing" whine. Which goes well with the constant chant of "only xx days, xx hours, xx minutes, and xx seconds until we leave." The best part about the chant is that you can update it whenever you want!!!

I put a post-it on my office door with a smiley face on it. Below the smiley face is written "VACATION MODE!!" (This also serves as a reminder that I am not in the right frame of mind to answer any difficult questions!)

Finally, I find myself pulling up the Two Palms webcam and imagining myself waving to everybody as we head towards open water!

Honestly, this trip I waited til the very last minute then reinjured my knee and it was horrible.....I had barely enough clothes and just felt so....well, like something was missing!!!!! ALL THE TIME!

So pack -

I have 73 days til our next cruise and followed the advise of a good friend - "just wash, iron and put the stuff back in the suitcase til next time!"

Good advise!!!
