Down the Rabbit Hole Update Post 136 (6 July 2009) Two Rooms

rolecall.jpg

During class every day at school, our teachers always take role. Regardless of whether it is second block, third block, or first block they always take role. I guess it is supposed to make sure whether or not we are skipping class (Us? Skipping class? Oh, never…) Anyway, before my dad and I even thought to bring Becca with us we had a hard time choosing a resort (the curse of being indecisive. At least I can blame my dad, I got it from him) We wanted to make it “the best trip ever” before I started High School (where the even hallways go this way, the odd ones go that way, and I am going to be so lost) so we soon developed RHS (Resort Hopping Syndrome). Then, when Becca was added to the mix, it became even harder to decide. It was her second trip (her first was right before we started middle school) and as she got to go so rarely we wanted it to be wonderful—especially since last time we came to Disney we stayed at Pop and almost murdered our neighbors (another story for another time ;) CourtneyandRyan’s neighbors ain’t got nothing on these people!)

First, it was Boardwalk Villas

Cons
  • Not exactly the world's greatest food options

Pros
  • Shorter walk to Disney Studios
  • Nice rooms
  • Very relaxing

Next, it was Beach Club Villas

beach-club_lg.jpg

Cons
  • Smaller rooms
  • Farther from Disney Studios

Pros
  • A lot of people seem to love it
  • Closer to Epcot
  • Would be a fun, new place to try

Then, it was Wilderness Lodge Villas

Cons
  • The rooms are small

Pros
  • It's so pretty
  • It's very nice
  • It is close to the Magic Kingdom
  • I love the feel of it

Then, it was Saratoga Springs Villas

Cons
  • Kind of out there from the parks
  • Fancy shmancy

Pros
  • Close to Downtown Disney
  • Close to the Water Parks
  • A lot of people seem to like it
  • Fun, new experience

Then, it was Coronado Springs Resort

Cons
  • We would have to raise money to pay for it, as if we don't already have to raise enough
  • Not the greatest food choices

Pros
  • Good, childhood memories
  • I actually like the resort
  • It relaxes me

Then, it was Pop Century Resort

Cons
  • Cheap
  • We would have to share a bed
  • The walls are paper thin
  • Bad memories of the last time we stayed there with Becca

Pros
  • Cheap
  • One of the few value resorts I love
  • Fun atmosphere

Finally, it was Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas

Pros
  • Relaxing
  • Fun
  • Near all the animals
  • Excellent food choices
  • Beautiful
  • Peaceful atmosphere

Cons
  • None

So, it was then decided.
And the winner is...

136 more days :jumping3::jumping2::bounce::Pinkbounc
I'm making our plans as we speak. Typing up days, choosing parks, choosing restaurants. My dad is looking for flights and we are constantly checking for any good rental car deals.

I just read everything since 3-7 I know I behind
I'm really enjoying it :)
I've only stayed at AKL and we stayed not at the villlas since it wasnt opened yet but we did really love it :)
I also love the Air and Space museum in DC I just think that museum is amazing I dont know if its the fact my dad works for Boeing I think space is really cool or what it just so amazing :)
I'm no fan of any of the other museums in DC I know *gasp* but my mom is lol :)

That's alright. I was a bit behind in the updates.
I love the air and space museum! I only like the few museums we went to. I'm a history buff. I hate the art museums. Bore me to tears

That is the longest title ever
Anyway, this is inspired by quite a few posts on the limey thread (not recommended for the innocent and serious. Unless you have a hankering for some corruption;)). The big question is this:

Do you think two 14 year old girls (Becca and I) with straight A+'s will need chaperoning even if they are going with my dad for our August trip? Here are your choices, just simply post the letter:

A: No, they don’t need chaperones
B: They probably do, but her dad should suffice
C: This poll is crazy like the rest of the limeys
D: They should have chaperones, but 3Leafs will need to chaperone Heather (my DISMom) chaperoning Allie and Becca

Define your definition of chaperone...
