Down Syndrome SIL and Dress Code at Signature Dining

Hello-

We're planning dinner at Citricos after a full day in the parks. We'll be staying at BWI so no way to go back to hotel to change. SIL (38) has Down Syndrome and a delight. She is well traveled and has excellent dinner manners. My only concern is dress code for Citricos. She does wear tee shirts and casual wear. I don't think we could get her to dress up. Maybe I can ask if she has a cardigan but in general, it will be disney themed tee shirts for her this week. The rest of us (party of 7 total) will be in collared shirts and capris, kids in polo shirts and shorts for the day. Do you think Citricos will give us a hard time and not seat us?

There are polo shirts that are Disney themed. You may have time to get one. Would that be better for you? Your SIL may go for it.

If it bothers you check with the restaurant.

We fly out today so no time for shopping, I'm afraid. I will ask my mother in law if she has a cardigan or something.

Problem solved: we've changed our reservation to the GF cafe. Most of the party is happier with the menu and dress code, it seems.

I wouldn't give it a second thought! We have done signature dining tons of times (not specifically at Citricos), and have found there to be all manner of dress - from suits and evening wear to shorts and t-shirts. We are not a dress up kind of family, but love good food! I think they are more about neat and appropriate, not specifically dressy.

"Not permitted are tank tops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, hats for gentlemen, cut-offs, torn clothing and t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics."
