Doubletree Lake Buena Vista

I made reservations at the doubltree through hotwire for 44 dollars per night. Since I did this I have found out I will be alone with my 2 children and arriving at 11pm. I am now hesitant to go offsit alone with the kids. I am not sure I feel safe. Should I use this ressie or should I take a loss on the 44 dollars and book a night onsite. We will be going to VWL in the am. Barb

I would feel safe going to this hotel at 11:00 p.m. at night with two children. My sister and I stayed there last year in February. We're staying again for three nights next month. We felt safe there. I don't think you'll have a problem.

where is this hotel located

It's on Apopka Vineland Road, very near Hotel Plaza Boulevard (the street leading to Downtown Disney). Coming from the I-4 area, it would be on the left side of the street, just past Hotel Plaza Boulevard.

which Doubletree? The club or the suites? I have stayed at both without my husband. Felt safe at both.

Last February I got it for $42 (Hotwire). It was rated as a 3 1/2 star hotel. It is the Doubletree Club and not the Doubletree Suites (at Downtown Disney). However, the Doubletree Club is really close to Downtown Disney. Probably the closest hotel to Downtown Disney not located on Hotel Plaza Boulevard (the street leading to Downtown Disney).

If you are going to stay here, join the Hilton Honors program, call the hotel and give them your number and request the HH floor. It supposedly gets you a room on the Hilton Honors floor which I read has the sweet sleeper beds. I'll find out for sure on February 2nd, as I'll be staying there then and I made that request.

I really like that hotel. It's very nice. They are really good about upgrades if you are a Hilton Honors member too. It's colorful and clean. The lobby has everything you need too. You'll be fine. GREAT PRICE!!!

The 3 1/2* on Hotwire is $112! Thats more then booking directly through the hotel.
They have a 3* that is a value buy for $50. That's what I am trying to find out about. What it is? The following is the list of amenities:
