Hello,
We are staying at the is hotel for one night before our stay at the Grand Californian in June:
Doubletree Anaheim Orange

I pricelined it and got it for 44.00 a night, which is pretty good for a 3 1/2 star hotel. This is my first priceline experience. I didn't care if it was a little far from the park, as we are using it as a landing pad for the night before we check into the GC. But I was wondering if anyone had ever stayed there and what they thought? It isn't the Doubletree near the convention center.

It has a shuttle to DL that runs every hour.

Thanks,
Lisa

If it's the one I'm thinking of (City Drive), it's near The Block at Orange, which is an open air mall with several interesting restaurants and bars, although we tend to stick with Corner Bakery (soups/salads/panini/bakery items) and once in a great while we'll visit Krispy Kreme. Either of those would work for breakfast, CB for lunch and dinner as well. Haven't stayed at the hotel, but that's a great rate from Priceline.

yes, it is the one near Block Orange. I didn't know there was a Krispy Kreme nearby! That is great.

I thought it was a great rate too. I though I would get rejected offering that much, but maybe because it was a one night reservation it was accepted? I really don't know much about Priceline, but I will try it again if this works out well.

We just want a nice place to sleep so we can check in early to the GC and then spend a full day in the parks. Works much better than leaving at 4:30 am from the Bay Area, driving all day in order to rush to check in and go to the parks.

We have stayed here a total of 3 times in the past year. All trips were booked through Priceline for around the same price you got it for ($45) The hotel is very nice, the beds are super comfy. They will also bring a rollaway to you for FREE!
The parking is $15 per night or valet for $17. There is also a StarBucks in the lobby plus upon check in don't forget to ask for your warm, chocolate chip cookies...YUMMY:cloud9:
Have a great time!

I pricelined it also. I will be staying there in June. I rec'd the same rate for 5 nights.

According to the reviews I have read it is an ok hotel. A lot of gripes about the parking fee but I am not driving. I am crossing my fingers that the shuttle is as reliable as the reports I have read.

Thanks for all of the advice! We may indeed need the roll away--I am taking my two girls on this trip. I figured even if we ended up with a King bed, we would figure the whole sleeping thing out.

A great price for a room--can't beat that!
