Hi everyone.

The husband and I are planning our 10 year anniversary trip for later this year - a long weekend exploring Universal Studios for the FIRST time!

We don't have it in our budget to allow us to stay on-site, and get discounts through work for the Double Tree at the entrance of Universal and Holiday Inn Express on International Drive. I'm curious if you have any pros/cons of either of those?

I like the idea of free breakfast at the HI, but I also like the walking option from the Doubletree.

Thanks for any help!

Laura

We stayed at the Doubletree. It was nice, and we got a discount on parking. It is walkable, and a pretty walk too. That being said we only did it the first day. After walking all day we were tired so we drove the other days. We also had kids with us where you won't.

I've stayed at both, they're both nice and you can easily walk to Universal. I'd go with whichever is cheaper! Enjoy and happy (early) anniversary!!!
