Double Tree Suites

Does anyone have any feedback on this property. I will be headed to DL next month with my DH and girls while my hubby works in town. Double Tree Suites is one of the companies authorized properties. Can anyone give me their feedback on the place and its location?

I haven't personally been there, but my husband's boss is an AP holder and always stays there and recommends it. He said it's too far to walk, but they get free or discounted parking with their AP, so they drive to the park.

I stayed at the Double Tree 2 years ago with two grandkids (7) and their parents. The bedroom had 2 queens and the sitting room had a sofa bed. They have a micro & mini fridge and large desk plus a couple comfy chairs. Only 1 bathroom. The beds and pillows in the bedroom were the best I have had in a hotel. We ate dinner at the Italian restaurant one night which was very good. They had a kids eat free discount with adult meals. There is a Denny's across the street for inexpensive meals. The ART stops in front of the hotel approx. every 20 min and we used it daily - taking 10 -15 min to get to the park. I would not walk to DLR with the kids from there but did walk it by myself a couple times and was not difficult. The cookies at check in are GREAT!
