Double stroller recommendation?

Our first trip as a family will be this year. We will have 2 girls, ages 4 and 7 months.

Our (currently 3) daughter has long outgrew a stroller, but we figured we will need one so she doesnt get tired, plus have one for the new baby.

Can anyone recomend a brand/style? Preferably one that preforms well in the parks and doesnt injure other guests (jogging strollers are a no)

Bumping for you..........I have the same question. It seems with the price of renting a double stroller in the parks for a week, we could buy one!!! My boys (5 & 2) rarely use a stroller at home, but WDW can tire out the toughest boys!!!

My girls are 8& 10 now but back in 98-00 we were definitely in double stroller mode. I highly recommend a front to back one that has full reclines for both seats. I would put the younger one in the back, she could stratch out fully and sleep in the shade, my older one was up front but still shaded and able to recline if needed. Back then we had the old top of the line Graco, it weighed a ton, no joke, but was a real pack mule. The front to back models, to me, are also easier to wheel onto the monoral while loaded too. Plus, they take up less room when maneuvering through the theme parks. HTH, good luck. I also recommend a Magic Kingdom Resort, preferrably monorail if in your budget. It is absolute heaven to have the peace of mind knowing that your room is only a monorail ride away when you have kids (and grown ups too!) in melt down mode. Enjoy your trip!

I would recommend a Maclaren twin (either rally or traveller). They are light, fold up small enought to carry on the buses, and have all the features full size strollers have. however they are pricey. You can get them for better prices on ebay. I love these strollers, we have the triumph, quest, and the twin traveller. Good luck in your hunt.

We love our Graco double stroller. It isn't that heavy -it was so much ccompared to some others and it folds up very easily for the buses. It wheels right on to the monorail and boats. There is a big basket on the bottom we can load up along with cup holders too. You can check them out online or go to a local Babies r us.

Ours was a Graco brand and it was just called a Duel Stroller. The front seat sat lower than the back. This feature was great for when the kids got older as both were able to enjoy the view! The front seat also could recline slightly, and had a tray (removable) that was great for putting toys or food on. The back seat also had it's own tray (also removable) and the back seat layed in multiple positions, including flat. Both seats had an adjustable, fabric, padded, dual sided restraint system - not just a nylon seat belt. It was great because it was comfortable and the kids couldn't undo or slip out. There were also adjustable umbrella covers (also removable) for each seat, and the entire thing also had a huge basket underneath. It collapsed easily and was not all that much trouble to bring on the buses or any transportation. Although it wasn't extremely light, it also wasn't that heavy either. We bought it from Sears but I have seen it many times and in many stores every since. I would hightly recommend this for your situation!!! Lastly, it was very durable as well!!

The sit and stand stroller is good when the older child is OLDER. But the front seat doesnt fully recline for a child who needs to lay flat to nap. Aslo if it is reclined at all the seat in the back cant be used. I just had to have this stroller and I hated it as I felt it hard to push/steer around. I think they have changed it a lot cuase I have seen several posts of people who loved it. It is kind of a regular stroller with a bench in the back as well as a platform that the older child can stand on so they dont have to walk yet are still standing. Are there two adults? What we did was took 2 strollers, one being an umbrella stroller. We only took one stroller (or none since our little one was older too) in the morning and two in the evening. Even if my dd didnt want to ride we would put the backpack in her stoller or kinda put the umbrella stroller into the basket of the other stroller. We are going again next month and are only taking one...with an open mind of renting. It may be expensive but with two older children may be our only option. Hopefully it will be the last time we have to consider it. It's just nice to have a spot for the older one to plop down once in a while.

We picked up the Wrangler Jeep in Toys R Us when were went in '04. Our kids were 2 and 3. It was quite basic and didn't recline a lot, but they still crashed out asleep when they were tired. It was useful for carrying bags and snacks

We travel from the UK, buy a cheap $100 double and don't take it back to England.

We have a Maclaren Twin Traveler. Does great for us...we have a 3yr old and 18m. Have had it/used it since baby was a week old. Has all the features we needed. Our 6yr old even sneaks a ride. Holds up to 55lbs on each side, very sturdy, DH and I are tall and handles are great height for us, reclines seperately, side by side, rain cover is great to it, etc. I also suggest that if you were only purchasing for one trip then maybe the stroller that is a single with an attached stand behind it. Or a buggy board(we bought one last year for our last trip) Have a magical trip!

Ditto! These strollers are easy to drive, have full recline for infants+, have a great shade & rain cover and a boot for those chilly times. Plus they are an umbrella fold.
