I have almost 4 year old twin boys, and DH and I have decided that we will do a weekly rental of a double stroller. Is is hard to get them? What I mean, is do they tend to run out? If so, what is the best strategy to make sure we get one?

Also, if we have the week long rental for a double and one isn't availible, will they substitute 2 singles?

Thanks!

Honestly it would probably be cheaper and easier for you to buy your own and bring it down. To rent a double it's approx $20 a day.

DH and I decided that it was easier to buy one and bring it with us. I bought a double umbrella stroller for DS's 3 and just 5. My plan is to take it back to the parks in the evening as I know their little legs will be so tired. I paid about $70.00 which if you're going for 7 days like us, it's about half of what you'll pay to rent one everyday and it's yours to keep when you're done. The other thought is that sometimes it's a long walk from the park entrance/exit to the bus stops/cars etc.

We just returned and rented a double stroller for 5 days. It's $16 a day if you rent it for the length of your stay. We always arrived at park opening so running out of strollers wasn't an issue. Are you going during peak season? I wouldn't be too concerned about it if you're not. We loved having a double stroller. It's so easy for them to get in and out of and we didn't want the hassle of folding our own stroller up to get on the boats/busses.

Thanks, you listed the reasons we are renting. We are going June 3-9. I don't want to buy a stroller, because I sold my DuoGlider last fall, and I used to have a double umbrella, and HATED it! Fortunately, my IL's are paying for the trip in general, so we don't have much expense for it, and can add in the stroller expense. I also like that it is fully refunable if you don't us it up!

For 2 four year olds a double stroller at Disney is going to be a tight fit. They aren't very large. Two singles might be a better option, just something to think about. You might want to put them in the stroller with all the stuff you will have in there before you rent it to see if it is going to work.
