Hi Al&Emsmom!! Thanks for the interest! I do hope you can join us, you would be filling a very important set of dates for us and we would be thrilled!!! Please let me know if you are in and where you are staying. I will update the 1st page and then you will just need to set up pick up/drop with the swappers before and after you.
I see Bjeanep has responded, she has it before you at BCV and Doxxie has it after you, she is staying offsite but has a car so I think she can pick it up from you.

I have finally started my packing. I got mine and dh's clothes packed tonight. I still need to pack up the kids, but I at least have them all folded, ready to stick in a suitcase. Then, well, then I still have a ton of stuff to do!

We have decided to tell the kids tomorrow night about the trip. I have a gift bag for each of them with various Disney themed goodies. And, I got one of the very talented DISigners to make personalized "tickets" for each one. I can't wait to see their reactions. Hopefully, they won't be too excited to sleep.

Well, I'm off to mark a few more things off my list before I fall over.

I will! I'm nervous with excitement right now. I've got so many loose ends to try to tie off here at work ... not sure how that's going to happen since my mind is anywhere but on work right now!

I can't wait!

One question for those of you that have done the swap already. Since my hand-off to the next person isn't in person, what is the best way to attach a "label" for them. I printed out a full 8x11 piece of paper (card stock) with her name and check-in date. Should I take tape to attach it? Is that sheet protector still there?

the protector was there when I handed it off, but I do not know as of now. if you take it down to bell services, they will tag it for her also, since it is the same hotel. that should be super easy swap for her to get. they do not have to move it or anything.

We have gift cards to Rainforest Cafe and were planning on going to Downtown Disney to that. Maybe we'll have to do that at AK and do T-Rex. It looks pretty cool. I know as soon as it's seen we will have to go there!

They sure are! Hmmm... we were supposed to meet someone at Rainforest, I wonder if I can talk them into going there instead!

Well ... we told them. We got them sitting on the sofa, dh got out the video camera, and I brought in the gift bags. Abbie started going through her things. She didn't seem to have a clue. Then she picked up the "ticket" on the bottom of the bag. Conversation went something like this:
Me: "what does it say?"
Abbie: "Disney World, Guess Who is Going?"
Me: "Who's name is there"
Abbie: "Abbie?"
Me: "What date does it say?"
Abbie: "October 11, that's to-to-tomorrow!?!?"
It sort of sunk in. She was jumping up and down happy.
Then after Jack finished sorting through his things (he's slower than she was), dh started telling her that we'd be there for 7 nights, and that there was a pool, etc. She was SO excited. At one point she asked if this was her Christmas present! It was wonderful to see. Jack is still a bit young to understand the magnitude of the whole thing. But he was happy and excited to be going to visit Mickey and Goofy.

I'm almost done with my packing. We are going to load the car and try to get a few hours of sleep, then leave early in the morning. I'll talk to you all when we get back!

That's great. Yeah, at 3 he still doesn't really get it yet. I know at 4 mine isn't as excited as I thought he would be. I think it will be different next time though when he can remember going before and knows what he has to look forward to. And then he can pump his little brother up. I'm kind of grateful he isn't so excited because he isn't bothering us asking when we're going.

We had some Disney dollars sitting around that we keep forgetting to take with us. So this time I got them out and I have set up a chart for the 4 year old where if he does good things he will earn a dime or a quarter and if something goes wrong we can deduct him. At the end hopefully all of his money will be in the earned column and I will give him that amount in Disney dollars
