has everyone been in touch with the swappers they are handing off to?
want to make sure that everyone knows when and where they are maing their swaps.

I had it waiting for me at BW bell services when I arrived. I had the claim check # from the swapper before me, and they were able to find it no problem.

Yes, I think we've got it all sorted, but I will touch base again soon.

Good morning! How is everyone today? The weather has turned cool for us already. It is in the low 40's here this morning.

OMG could it be possible I have been looking for jan 21-27th and asked a while ago but wasn't open yet please let me know if you decide to open it. Thank you.:cheer2: :cheer2:

I received the payment and updated that also. As soon as dates before you are confirmed, we can arrange for swapping.

We went to the Thrashers game last night so it felt positively warm when we came out. However, this morning after not having the heat on it was quite chilly!

I still have hockey tickets for sale if anyone in Atlanta or visiting Atlanta is interested. They are in row D behind the goalee!

You know what? It's just hit me that we are in the single digit count-down now! Woohoo!!

 :cool1:  :woohoo:  :cool1:

Thanks so much it has been a pleasure read all the updates and now to be part them. I hope everyone has great trips.:cool1:

Ok - it's shirt weekend! I am still in search of some good quality onesies to use for the baby's. I think I've given up and am going to buy him a few from Disney at the 4.99 price! They do have some really cute shirts on sale. Very tempting!!! I think I'll ride over to a different one tomorrow and see if I can find the right size for the baby.

Delmar - did you use light or dark transfer paper?

We're going to start printing tomorrow. I have so many cute designs that I need to narrow down but then I think do I want to wear the same type shirt every day. I guess it's only a week. I bought some really great shirt from Wal-Mart that are now on clearance for $4. I had one already and like it so much I bought some others to use for this but then I think do I really want to put a transfer on it which will limit how much I wear it. I'm so wishy-washy right now!! I'll be glad to have this over with. It's probably the last big project before we go since we decided to buy the passports instead of making them.

What is everyone doing for Halloween costumes? My son heard us joking about Darth Vador (first that because they have those in all sizes from infant to adult that all the boys could do that and then that we could have a Star Wars family including the dog) and so now that's what he thinks he's going to be. I don't think he has any real idea of who he even is!

doxxie~
I've been using light transfers on white shirts. I'm waiting for my dark transfers to arrive so I'll start on the colored shirts when they do. I found Hanes perfect fit relaxed fit T's on clearance for $1 each at Walmart so I got a bunch. They also had a ton for $3 each so for the girls and myself we are good. Not a single mens/boys plain T to be found though! :confused3 So I'm going to have to expand my search a bit.

I have sooooo many designs that I'm having a hard time picking the ones I want to use for this trip. I've got 15 shirts done/half done already with a ton more to go (9ppl on the trip). There are only 2 that I'm doing for everyone so 18 there and then I have a bunch for the kids that I'm doing and some for the Christmas party too. It feels like I've bitten off a bit more than I can handle with our limited space here in the house but at least I started months in advance. I still have 2mths to finish everything up.

Don't forget to read the "20 steps" thing. Mostly about setting the ink with the vinegar. It's really important or else it will run all over the place if it gets wet at all. Here's my added hint....dont' put red/pink/orange colored transfers in with the rest! LOL

the star wars shirts is a great idea to get the kids picked to be in jedi training camp at DHS!!

That's a ton of shirts! I bought the baby some preprinted onesies at Disney for 5.99 and then also found some plain white good quality onesies at Carters AND found a Lightning McQueen costume on sale at Disney as well. So we accomplished a lot of things today! Now we're starting on printing.

Is the 20 steps article on the boards? I'm about to run a search.

My mom found those same shirts at Wal-Mart when they were 3 or 4 dollars. She returned a couple due to sizing and they were $1 at that time (she had her receipt though). I think she's only going to make a couple of shirts for herself anyway.

bumping it up.
can't wait to hear from mom2OandE and see how it went for her!

Well, no stroller update but I have a shirt update. It was a VERY rough start and those $4.99 shirts at Disney were looking better and better. But finally we got it. We have a sample of papers and we definitely have some that we like, some that we don't. I'll post up some photos later. We have all of the oldest boy's done and they look so good. I've done one for me and one for hubby. Mine looks good. His isn't perfect but it's okay and you can't tell from a distance anyway.

Michael's has their shirts on sale again today so we're picking up a few more today along with (hopefully) a couple of sweatshirts for our nighttime events.

I'm about to print a few more now so I have to run.

Delmar - if you know where those 20 steps are, please email me a link or something. I searched but couldn't find it and I don't want these to get ruined. Basically we have already washed the shirts and we weren't planning on washing them before we wear them next. However, I saw your thing about vinegar and thought maybe we should do that and wash them again. We haven't decided yet. We have one that's messed up and we turned it into a practice shirt. We may wet it and see what happens!

Hope the most recent stroller pass went well.

hey, Msfredna, you leave tomorrow!!! Have a great time!!

Julie, you only have 6 days!! All ready to go?

I am hoping my SIL has a few things I cannot find, mostly my sons pj's. I hope they ended up in her case.
She was supposed to be there to help me, but that didn't happen unless you include her helping me spend money. Hasn't even bothered to say thank you and we have been back since late the 29th. That won't happen again!

mom2OandE, how was your trip?
was it your first stay at AKL?

Ready - if you mean am I ready to be there already? Yes. If you mean ready as, in stuff packed, organized, etc? Then no. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed I think right now. I have a list made, that I'm sure I'll add to this week. But I haven't started putting anything together yet.

I keep looking at the weather for the week and I can't decide on exactly what to pack. It looks like we may get wet and the temps will be on the mild side. So, I'm guessing we'll need shorts for the day and pants for the evenings? Any ideas?

And I hope that you find what you are missing!

One month from today I'll be in a park - not sure which one yet! :cool1: I think we'll start with MK.

bumping back to evening crowd...still trying to fill 1st week of november.
it seems to be the toughest dates to fill.

i should be doing something else right now. but i miss disney.
we are going to universal in december, but planning on christmas party to get a mini disney fix while we are there.
