When we went a few months ago we requested a partial savanna view near the lobby on the Kudu Trail. Not sure how it is on the 5th floor with the DVC rooms, but it was great on the 2nd floor.

At Jambo, ‘resort’ doesn’t give you the parking lot side similar to Kidani but have a good chance of being around the main pool area, away from the savanna.

Zebra trail has the 50/50 (pool or uzima savanna). Kudu trail will get views of the sunset savanna. Those ‘resort’ rooms on the sides, at the Boma fenced emergency people holding pens.

If you were in a 2nd floor at Jambo, it shouldn’t be a DVC room. My understanding is that only 5th and 6th are DVC?

Yes, cash stay.

Depends on what is important to you. If you want to maximize your chances of a (partial) savanna view, ask for Kudu. If you want easier access to the pool and Mara, ask for Zebra.

Resort view DVC villas at Jambo will be on the 5th floor. They are above the lobby, or on Kudu or Zebra trail. Your view will be of Sunset savanna or Uzima savanna or the pool or roofs + the pool. I’ve highlighted in blue the rough location of what I believe to be the resort view villas. The red highlights the elevator locations. It isn’t noted on the map, but there’s a 5th floor skybridge that crosses the lobby & connects Kudu & Zebra trails which you can use go to the quick service Mara restaurant or the pool from the Kudu side rather than going down to & across the lobby.
