I will be at Disney Jan 19-26th and wondered if the stroller would still be available at this time. I am new to posting on this site so hope this works.

FYI - here are some links to the accessories. Hopefully the rain cover will fit okay. The reviews are kind of so-so, but basically say it does the job well enough (which is really all we need).

I know this will be a great swap, thanks to everyone participating!

they look good, Doxxie.

We will be in Disney this time next week!! Wahoo!!! Amaia82 could you send me a pm with your resort info. Thanks.

I'm so jealous that you'll be there so soon! The next 6 weeks are going to be torture for me. I hope that you have a great trip!

Thanks Julie!! I hope the hurricanes dont effect our trip too much.

We found a great deal on a condo and it looks like we'll be spending an extra day in the parks!

Jill, I requested that we have the condo from the night of November 5 - 12th. So can you change my dates so that I pick up the stroller on the night of the 5th?

Thanks!

just bumping this up to try to get more swappers

Come on ... you know you want to ...

I know that there have to be some others looking for a stroller. This is SUCH a great deal! You get a practically new stroller for the entire length of your stay for 1/2 the price of a one day rental at Disney .... :woohoo:

The rain cover came in today. I didn't unfold it all for fear that I wouldn't be able to fold it up so nicely (you should see my personal cover from our last trip!). The cover has its own bag as well so between swaps we can store it in the bag and with the stroller. Still waiting on the sunshade and as soon as I get that I'll ship to Disney.

I'm interested. I'll be in Orlando from 11/14-11/20, staying off-site but will have a car. I'd like more info please. I've never done anything like this before.

Thanks

Mayjay - I think we're all new so don't worry! :-)

Rainy Daze has purchased the stroller for us and shipped it to Mccaw who will use it first. I purchased a raincover and large sunshade for it that I will also be shipping to her. From there it will be passed from swapper to swapper. Rainy Daze is simply trying to make back the money she put out on it (as I am but her portion is much larger). The cost will be split evenly between all of us once we know how many swappers we have. Right now most everybody has paid into it $15 but the final cost may be at 20 or 25 per person for your entire length of stay. Disney is at $31/day for a double stroller or $29/day if you do multiple days. So our swap is saving a LOT of money!

We are asking that everyone treat the stroller with respect so that each new swapper will get it in like new condition.

Let us know if you are interested! I would actually be the swapper ahead of you so we would need to swap cell numbers and work out a place for the swap. I am staying off-site as well and currently plan to leave on the 12th. I would be willing to drop the stroller off where you're staying (as long as it's in that area), if they are willing to hold it for you for 2 days.

PS - I didn't mean to speak for anyone, I was just on and thought I'd answer. If anyone has a problem with any facts I laid out - speak up! :-)

Thanks all.

I think Doxxie pretty much summed it up great.
We would love to have you in the swap. I will put you down for those dates and send you a PM. Thanks!
Jill

I just sent payment

Also, I am leaving early on the 31st, so if someone is interested in the stroller on the 31st, and it will get them into the swap, its theirs :)

This sounds great, I do have some questions about taking the stroller on the trams and monorails etc. How hard is it? When we went in Feb I just had DS and we rented a single on site.

I'll PM Doxxie and YoMickey also about pick-up/drop offs beffore I committ. I will say that I am mainly on board, IF location and ease of use works out.

I also *might* be able to get it on the 13th, my parents are arriving the day before me and they have the car, I am flying in on the 14th.

Thanks

Well, I certainly don't want to scare you away but in an effort to be honest, it's not the easiest thing in the world to get on the trams and get to MK with a stroller. The tram is the hardest part (between the parking lot and the monorail). And I remember MK being the worst I think because you had to take the tram to the monorail to the transportation center and then to the park.

I did it with a single Graco stroller and it was a pain. I can't imagine a double jogging stroller is going to be any better. However, I am willing to deal with that so that I don't have to pay $145 or more to rent a stroller every day. That's the cost of a new stroller!

Also, I can't imagine it's super easy having to go to the park and wait to get the stroller and return it and all of that. I don't know, haven't done that part before.

Frankly, the easiest thing to do in order to get to places easily would be to stay somewhere that you could take a boat over because then you can stroll right on and off. Wilderness Lodge will get you over to MK, to a monorail and to Epcot. I said that then next time we went back we would stay there because of that, but....we're not.

So in order to answer your question, my personal opinion would be that getting to MK is not the easiest thing in the world, but are you will to sacrifice that in order to save $120.

I know there are others out there who go more often than me - any pointers or thoughts?

By the way, I don't think YoMickey has confirmed or paid. I could be off base here since I'm not collecting money or anything, but I think we're still waiting on confirmation that he's in.
