Double Rewards Points on Disney Visa!

Got a post card yesterday (and I am ASSUMING that this is good for ALL who hold a Disney Visa!!) that advertised double rewards points from March 15 until June 30 (I think it was June, I'll have to double check on that) for purchases totaling over $150 in a month. (meaning, spend over $150 and get double rewards on anything OVER that $150. Regular rewards up to $150.)

This is good news for those of us traveling soon...looks like we may have a chance to earn a bit more spending money!

Too bad I already paid off our vacation...that would have been 32 rewards instead of 16. Oh, well.

I just checked the cardmembers' website and of course there's nothing about it on there! I hope I get the same offer in the mail.

It would be nice to know if it's for all charges or just Disney Store purchases. I'd have to buy a lot of Disney Dollars since they really no longer carry anything that fits me or my kids.

Hi..

Just got my mail and the post card was in it from Disney Visa. Yup, from March 15 through June 30, 2004 you can get double Disney Reward Dollars. I looked at all the fine print and you get the double reward for all purchases not just at Disney Store or Disney.com.

But, I noticed in the fine print that you "Earn 2% in Disney Dream Reward Dollars for every $1 you spend over $550 each month from March 15 through June 30, 2004. Earn 1% in Disney Dream Reward Dollars for every dollar you spend up to $550."

So, it seems good, but only if you spend well over $550 a month.

Hope this helps anyone that had questions.

There is a large difference between 150 and 550.....
I hope I get an offer for double points on everything over 150.

I got over $850. We have been using our card a lot lately for our upcoming trip. I think they look at how much you usually charge and assign you an "over so much" amount based on that.

I can't wait to see if I have one in the mail box. Of course its 2 months late as I just charged my vacation in late January and some home improvements in February. But I will take whatever I can get.

I hope they are not basing the dollar figure on your current spending levels... In other words, I hope I don't get a post card that says anything over $1500 or even higher?

3 1/2 months of double points (even if its for over $550) will be great. The best Dis Visa has offered yet.

I hope I get a potcard. I will be charging the remaining balance of our dreamaker package and $3000 for my parent's surprise 50th wedding anniversary party. That will add up nicely!

Just looked over the mailing again. After rereading all the fine print, it is possible that different cardholders will have different qualifying spending amounts.

The first asterisk says: "The double rewards offer only applies to purchases made with your credit card each calendar month from March 15 through June 30, 2004. You will be eligible to receive double rewards each month during the promotional period for amounts you spend over the DESIGNATED amount shown in this letter."

When I flip the card over, it states "Earn 2% in Disney Dream Reward Dollars for every $1 you spend over $550 each month from March 15 - June 30."

Maybe others can tell us what their mailers state. I'm curious to see if there are diferent amounts for different cardholders.

Received mine today. It says I must spend over $550 to receive the double reward points.

I looked at mine again, and I was right the first time...earn 2% on every dollar over $150...

We charge on average of $300 a month on the card, so they much correlate your spending habits to the amount you must charge to earn extra rewards.

Wow, we got lucky. They're probably trying to get us to use the card because it says over $150. We are going to WDW in April for 19 days so we will be putting everything on the card (we're staying on DVC points) dinners, etc. We usually use another rewards card but this offer is too good to pass up.

Hmmmm. This is interesting. My card says something totally different.

"Use your credit card every time you buy gas, groceries, pay your utility, insurance, and wireless phone bills, or dine out from March 15, 2004 through June 30, 2004 and get double the Disney Dream Reward Dollars on those purchases."

I wonder if this is a regional thing and different areas of the country are getting different offers?

Does the min amount ($150 or $500) get the doubled or does the Amount Over the MIN get Doubled?
It seems like there so much information about the DisVisa, do you think there should be a new forum "DisVisa" like the DVC?

According to my mailing, only the amount over the minimum gets doubled. The amount leading up to $550 in my case, is still 1%. Anything over $550 is doubled. I would assume that's how this offer is working, but you know what happens when one assumes.

Didn't get my mail yet but it'll be my luck we don't get one.
We put everything on the card instead of cash - groceries gas etc. it's usually close to $800 every month.
We've even put our car down payment on it.
I hope I get one we're thinking of buying a shed and the extra points will come in handy for our april trip.

There is no way there are going to send me one. We average over $20 a month in disney reward dollars already. I would love double but considering i just got myself a 7 day pass for $5 out of pocket I don't think I have a chance.

I haven't received a post card, and even if I do it's too late! I just paid for my May cruise, last month. Thinking about how many reward dollars I missed out on makes me sad!

My dd's college rent is due April l and the only card they take is a Visa. Hopefully, I will be able to get double points too.
