Double Dippin Droppin Double Digits weight loss group.

dizzi, I don't think I could last on so few points. I have 34 and sometimes I have a hard time staying under that.
What helps me is the WW fudgecicles. they help me with the chocolate cravings and they are 1 point.

WAY TO GO WITH THE WEIGHT LOSS!!!!!
I am going to go on the scale today:scared1: But I am proud of myself regardless. I have stayed wheat and gluten free for 4 days!!
dizzi
when I did WW in the past and stuck to the low end of points I never would lose. Then I started to cycle with my points ,eat low points a few days then high points then back to low. It worked GREAT!! You might want to give it a try. Also to all doing WW another great help was making thier "free" veggie soup.Veggie broth and tons of veggies really a great filler and tons of fiber.

Hey everyone so sorry I ahve been away from this thread, just lots of stuff going on but I am back with a vengence. New outlook on life and want to take care of the body I have been given.

I should have weighted myself this morning but I didn't so if Sat is still weight in day I will check in tomorrow.

Have I missed anything??? Sorry I have not been here to cheer you all on.

Kim

Well done everyone

I'm doing not so bad
still lots of goodies in the house , so when all that is ate NO MORE

did'nt go to the gym today , got caught up with the ironing instead

Good job michelle9343. Keep it up. I wish I liked vegetables then I could do the soup. That is one of my problems. I like most fruit but very few veggies.

Well they can't deliver my treadmill again today because of the weather. Bummer. I was out and I did not think the roads were that bad. Guess the guys driving the big truck think the snow is scary:)

I ate extra chips ans salsa cause I thought I could work it off tonight on my new treadmill. Oh well. Guess I will have a salad tonight.

same weight again :confused3
but can feel my legs and bum toning up a wee bit

no loss this weig-in but just started...hopefully next week! Got my menu planned for the next three weeks, so no excuse that dinner isn't ready and have to get something out! Yahoo! This is the biggest challenge for me!

Made the best soup tonight! Don't "yuck" until you try it! Tori is a trooper and after a few minutes in her room (we do NOT "oooh" or "yuck" mommy's meals!!) she came out and really liked it! Even had a second bowl!

It's kale soup! It has chicken broth, small potatoes, onions, garlic, sausage (low fat turkey kielbasa) and kale! I wondered how it would taste (saw it on tv and looked really good!) and it smelled soooo good! It was really good and you really had a hard time realizing there was kale even in it (I chopped it really small). Tori said it just tasted like sausage and onions.

So, anyone interested in the recipe, let me know! IT really was good, but I understand that everyone's tastes are different, so I'm not offended if no one does!

Hopefully I see a weight loss this week but PMS is coming up....lordy, wish I was later in life....

Thanks for soup recipe. I have never had kale in soup but it sounds good.
Another good soup .. Chix broth tukey meatball made from turkey sausage. Brown the meat balls then finish cooking in broth add spinach and cook untill wilted. Sprikle with grated cheese. YUMMO!!!!!!

soup recipe

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 1/2 pounds chorizo sausage, sliced in 1/2-inch slices
1 cup chopped onions
2 tablespoons minced garlic
2 large white potatoes, peeled and diced
3 quarts of chicken stock
4 cups kale, rinsed, stemmed, and cut into 1-inch strips
2 bay leaves
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
Pinch of crushed red pepper

In a large stock pot, heat the olive oil. When the oil is hot, add the chorizo and onions. Saute the mixture for 2 minutes. Add the garlic and potatoes and cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the stock and kale and bring the liquid up to a boil. Stir in the bay leaves, thyme and crushed red pepper. Season with salt and pepper. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook until the potatoes are fork tender, about 30 minutes. Remove from the heat and skim off any fat.

***I used LF turkey kielbasa instead because chorizo tends to be too spicy for me! I've only sauted kale before once (in my LAWL recipe book) and my family liked it well enough. Just never got around to using it again. There's so many veggies out there that I want to try (I'll try just about anything once!) but really don't know how to cook them. I usually just piddle with them until something seems right - that's how I found turnips! Made them like mashed potatoes but they are oh - so - good!!! DD1 absolutely loves them with the chicken stock in them and actually asked for them today at the grocery store!

You're welcome! Hey, your soup sounds alot like Italian wedding soup - which is one of my favs!!! How easy is that?! Thanks, I'll have to try it!!!!!

Back from the cheer comp late yesterday night.

UUGHHHHHHHHHHHH

Before i left on Friday morning i weighed myself and i had actually lost 2 POUNDS! And now this morning after cheer comp and all the horrible food i have gained it back!!!!!!!!!

I tried so hard to be good but it is very hard to eat good at tose venues as even the chicken salad sandwich i had for lunch had to be horrible and then the bus stopped at YEAH MCDONALDS and BURGERKING for the kids. I wanted to get a saldad at the last stop BURGER KING but then he said you have to eat on the bus! And i knew that was not going ot happen!!!!!

SO HER i am back to

LOOSING a big fat 0 ZERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for check in!!!!!!!!

reminder to self bring more better food next time!!!!!!!!

Weighed myself this morning and I am down 3 lbs this week. So 12 to go!!!

For those who didn't lose, keep at it! Everyone is different. I usually do really well the first 2-3 weeks and then plateau.

I also saw a commercial last night for Progresso vegatable soup. 0 points on WW!!! I am going to try that.

Not so good today food wise. Not a lot of points so far, but I am not feeling great so I can't seem to eat the way I should!

Back from another wonderful weekend of working. I had to float to the surgical unit and ran, ran, ran all night. Hope I lost some but today I was on my floor and sat, sat, sat and ate cheese and crackers and beefstick(superbowl that is my excuse for blowing it) Afraid to get on scale. Will have to try harder. WW will be thursday since I am working wed 7p-7a. Hope my treadmill comes this week but we have another winter warning, streets were slick and it was snowing hard when I came home so I don't hold out much hope for tomorrow.

michellebriana congrats on 3 lbs lost. Hope it did not find me!:)

I stepped on the scale today just for the heck of it and found that I've lost 1.2 lbs! I'm so proud of myself because last night we had friends over for the SuperBowl...I liked having it here because I was in control of the food! We had veggies and spinach dip for appetizer along with DH's jalapeno poppers (I did sneak two of those!), paella for dinner, and made some brownies (for the kiddos) while a friend brought a homemade apple crisp! It was really good and found out she made it with the brownsugar splenda! Huh! Who knew?!

Anyway, kept away from the icecream, etc and stuck with my water except one diet coke.....I didn't feel stuffed at all and went to bed pretty well...slept most of the night without waking until 4:30 when I had to pee (sorry, TMI but goes to show how much water I drank!) then Ameera was up at 6:00 but DH took her so that I could sleep just a bit later. So, I feel really good and rested which is NOT normal for me! Have tons of energy today but a crappy schedule so I can't get much done....oh, well, there's tomorrow!

Gonna do baked chicken with rosemary and mashed turnips with chicken stock tonight....Tori asked for the turnips, so this is the best way I can figure she'll want them and it's so much lower in fat and calories than butter and milk! So BRING IT ON, I say!

Raining today and I feel a bit crappy being out in it already. Tori had a dentist appt and I just got back from taking her to school. Have to be back at 12:15 for cafeteria helper duty....then it's back home around 1:30 to do a few things. We've got two birthday parties this Saturday, so maybe I will have time to shop for them. I've still got laundry to do (does it ever stop?!?!?) and a bit of dusting but the house is pretty clean from this weekend! YEAH!

Hope everyone's day is going well and hugs to those that are a bit under the weather....:grouphug:

Yeah! I am through with my first week and I lost 3.4lbs! There were times when it was tough but looking bad, it wasnt that bad. Hopefully I can keep it up. My biggest challenge has been eating out but thanks to Dotties website, I have been able to keep within my WW points!

This week I am adding in exercise and I am sure the weight loss will slow down since muscle weighs more than fat. Today- 30 minutes on the treadmill and weights. I plan on 3 days per week to start (Will be working out at the gym while my preschooler is in school)

If I continue to get good results, I will try to increase the number of days and possibly the length of time by working out more than once. I only have so much time to work out while Ryan is in school :sad2:

Good job, to those who made it through the Superbowl parties and those who didnt, it is a new week! :cheer2:

suziemva, hate to sound stupid but what do turnips taste like? I never tried them. I am not an adventurous eater so there are lots of things I have never tried but am willing to. tried roasted cauliflower with garlic last week but no one liked it. Is it like potatoes?

Midwest Cruisers congrats on the weight loss.

Congrats to all on the weight loss!!!!!!

YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
