Double Dippin Droppin Double Digits weight loss group.

Well, I did not start Weight Watchers yesterday like I wanted too. I worked night shift monday and wanted to sleep more than get up and go to the meeting. My DH and I are going this evening. Tomorrow I will start.
 
Its 2pm and so far so good. I am getting a little bored but I am not hungry.



So far today:

1 cup Go Lean Cereal
1/2 cup skim milk
1 cup of hot chocolate

7 slices of healthy choice turkey (they are sliced so thin its only 1 pt!)
half slice of whole wheat lavash bread
1 tbsp of garlic hummus
1 orange

I have done so so today!

Even with the drink, i was still sooo tired today i just wanted to eat sugar to stay awake.

i dont now if the drink is safe or not ...it is on the market so i guess it is okay???????????????????

todays food intake.........

breakfast #1
wheat toast light cream cheese....................2 points

breakfast #2
cereal................(dry)........1 point

bad girl........churro............................5 points

small serving of chips.........................4 points

GUESS IT IS SALAD FOR ME TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!

OK just back from the swimming pool after having a 40 minute swim
same yesterday
came back staving :rotfl2:
 

I have had 2 good days as far as food is concerned - but the weather is so bad I have still not started any walking, neither have I made it as far as the swimming pool.

Food - Tuesday (working)

2 bananas
2 servings of leek and potato soup
1 plain bread roll
1 small bag of diet cookie things (cadbury highlights)

Food - Wednesday (day off)

oats-so-simple
lunch out with friends and I had a baked potato with tuna and side salad
(they had a 4 egg cheese & ham omelette with chunky chips (fried ptoatoes)each and shared a slice of cheesecake - so it took a lot of will-power to choose a healthy option, but I did feel really virtuous!! :goodvibes )
a bowl of peach slices and chopped banana
small bag of low fat popcorn
cup of cadbury highlights hot chocolate drink

so I feel pleased with myself, but a bit disappointed that I haven't managed any exercise as yet.
 
Well I did it. I went to the meeting. I will sit down later and go over the book. I need to spend time planning and then go to the store. I am going to try to start in the morning but I am not sure how I will do until I have a plan in place.

Ok...while "working at home" today, I was watching Oprah and she had Bob Greene on for the Best Life Diet.

Has anyone tried this?

Without wanting to sound like a lush, the idea of giving up wine completely seems a little tough. I know that it's only for a month, and it shouldn't be too hard, but it's the Summer here and we're having lovely 26+ degree days (that's 79F) and it does lend itself to a few quiet drinks with DH while watching the kids play.

I hope everyone is doing fine.

I have cut down on the pepsi. Some days I have managed to do 3-2. a day one day I even did just 1. And no major caffeine headache. :thumbsup2 I have also cut my food intake. I have been able to do some walking as well. Just have to keep it up. Still scared to get back on the scale this Friday.

This week has been alittle stressful. A coworker's daughter tragically died this week. She was my age. Makes me hug my friends and family tighter. So :grouphug: to you too! Life is precious.

My biggest challenge is eating right while working different shifts. I have a tendency to eat after midnight when I get home(work 11-11 on weekends). I never take time for a meal while working. Also 1 day a week I work 7P-7a and we tend to graze all night(have you ever seen the food available at 3 am in a hospital cafeteria? It is enough to make you want to give up eating:rotfl: )

Been in that cafeteria at that time before! Nothing to eat that isn't hours old or nastly looking. :sad2: That's why I brought in food and then grazed all night long. I don't do nights any more ( I'm in management now) which lowered my activity level.

I've just finished watching the Oprah program with Bob Greene and they had a woman on who lost 30lbs in 2 months by simply cutting out soft drink (soda).

Pass me the water bottle!
 
Another good day for me :

breakfast - oats-so-simple
lunch - bagel with low fat philadelphia
evening meal - small tuna pasta salad with large green salad, then peach slices and banana.
snack - low fat popcorn

hopefully I will get some results when I stand on the scales on Sunday - but it might take longer than a week to undo the damage done by the festive excess.

Hope everyone else is doing ok!
 
I think if someone told me ......"Lynn if you cut out drinking all of your Diet Coke you woudl losse 20 pounds!"

They must have meant the full-calorie stuff. I have finally gotten to where I can drink Diet Coke...I really love the 'Real Thing'. Coffee drinks are my demon of choice.

Tired tonight...food intake probably okay today, was too busy to even eat much. Didn't walk this morning as I was out late late late last night!

So...early to bed, and if no rain tomorrow then sidewalk HERE I COME!

Not really sure why, maybe soemone who watched the show can give us the inside scoop!!!!!!!!!

I THINK..... just a guess..... it has something to do with Caffiene??????

But unless there is proof that i will DIE before my cruise if i dont stop drinking it...........I WONT STOP I WONT STOP I WONT STOP!!!!!!!!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes
(that is one thing i missed on the cruise, even though they have it in fountain, I MUSt have a BOTTLE of diet coke, so i did manage to purchase one in every port, but i believe i will bring me at least a small pack with me this time......going to put that on my list now)

I am doing not horrible not not real great in the evening time i guess i am going to have to drink more of the MAXo2 in the evening i am going to try it to day and see if it helps me in the evening if not i am going to purchase soemthign else!!!!!

Yeah weird and i measured thighs like 5 times and one is definitley bigger than the other.

My goal woudl be to loose tot hese measurements......thighs can stay dont care .

just back from the pool again 30 minute swim
back is a lot better but just taking it easy
planning on starting in the gym next week after I get back from our trip to DLRP , can't really start dieting until them either :confused3
was really bad yesterday was shopping a had to get a chocalate bar something I'd never eat i I was'nt thinking of counting down go figure :confused3
