Kimberly - The only threat from Mindy is that she might soak you ankle in doggie slobber! Rhonda's dog is a different story! Tonka is the size of a small truck! (Hence the name) Tonka is a Great Dane. We don't let Tonka and Mindy play together.

Last night my husband was snickering at me because I started packing for a trip in a corner of the LR. We are going away this weekend for pity sake!!! I told him about you. Nuff said!

Have you ever tried the Corbet Canyon box-O-wine? That stuff is pretty good!

I remember my mom keeping Corbet Canyon box-O-wine in the fridge when I was little. It might be fun to bring a box one night on the Double Dip to share. Just to find out. Anyone else game? We do have the main dinner seating, but I could hand it off to the next group for the late seating.

LuvtheEars, alot of the top wineries are apparently now making box wine, I remember hearing a report about that a few years ago. Lionel and I are heading out the the giant-mega-super wine store of doom sometime this weekend so we'll have a peek around and see what we see.

I am game! Late dining for us. We could meet in a secret place and hand off the box!! If this was the cruise critic board we would be crucified for even joking about it!!

The chardonnay and the Pinot Grigio by Corbet Canyon is really good (to me any way). I used to buy the Franzia which is dirt dirt cheap ($12 for 5 liters ) as opposed to Corbet, which is just dirt cheap ($10 for 3 liters ). The franzia tasted more and more like water and the Corbet has some gusto. And at my age, I need gusto! I will bring a box for the cabin, stop by! I will probably have the Pinot .

Oh Hadley...I'm so so sorry that you have this hanging over your head. As stated, it is very positive that Dave's reputation is going to carry you guys to the next opportunity without (hopefully) being hung out to dry. While you wait for some things to fall in place, do your best to enjoy your trip to The World. Wherever you go, you'll always have us DISers with you!! I'll say a prayer for ya to get you through this uneasy time!

Tiffany, Mindy sounds like a sweet little thing , and Rhonda...Tonka? That's an awesome name!!! Again, I appreciate the offer....it would be great to meet any of you before the official DIS meets on 9/27/08.

So speaking of martinis (again), at lunch today, I asked the bartender (yes I had the day off from work!!!) if she had heard of a wedding cake martini. She hadn't, nor had anyone else working there. However, she said she has made a pineapple upside down cake martini. Well, well, well...I couldn't pass THAT up now could I?!! YUM YUM YUM!! I was a happy girl! So there's another one to try out that I highly recommend!!!

Just a drive by post. Hadley sorry to hear about Dave's job..Germany would rock! I spent a summer there when I was 17 and it was amazing I have been back once since then and I can hardly wait to go again.

Hi All,
Thanks for all of the well wishes. I am recovered somewhat from the shock and doing better. Thanks for giving me a place to vent when I needed it We are NOT going to let this ruin WDW (as if it is possible to not have fun there ) Real word probelms get left off property, and hopefully in the end all will work out for the very best and we will be better off in the long run.
FYI that we will not have internet access for the next two weeks while traveling. So, please think of me trying to catch up on 9/16 when you are posting and slooow down

Hadley-congrats on the parts!.... Im sorry about Dave's position, but I will keep you all in my thoughts and fingers crossed that it all works out. As my mom says Everything happens for a reason and something better is right around the corner!

Luv the Ears- happy belated bday!!!

Kimberly- those martini's do sound yummy.. and when the girls and I go out we get a round of buttery ... YOu know LOL love those (again really im not that big of a lush.. well ok a lil.

Logos- Im working on what we can do that is copyrightable LOL. I guess these were good starting points.... If anyone has any background in this or skills cuz I lack that in this area PLEASE feel free to work on these logo's or come up with one I will NOT be hurt LOL. My suggestion for the lanyards is maybe just doing an ice cream cone with our dis name on it and "real" names Instead of a WHOLE logo that would really be smooshed. But again just a suggestion. Hoping we can get all the KINKS worked out so that by our 365day mark we all can post it in our sigi.

so I then got a wild hair last night to work on something without all the characters but dont know really how to alter what has already been done without messing it all up LOL... So I found (after hours of searching online and the dis boards and not going to bed till 2am told you I was OBSESSED LOL) a few things and came up with something else LOL (when Im a women on a mission watch out LOL) If you all find images or have images that you would like to use please feel free to email them to me

I like both of those, too. I really like using the 0's in 2008 as mickey ears. The shirts I made on cafepress for my famly on our last trip did basically that...in the year 2007 I made the 0's filled in black and connected them at the bottom with a black half circle so that they looked like a mickey ears hat from the parks.

My only thing is that I actually think the full logo SHOULD go on our name tags because then they're cooler when we're all wearing them around the ship and they make a much nicer souvenir that is easily put into a photo album or scrapbook.

That said, I really like the one you created above where the whle thing is a map in the shape of mickey ears. I actually do have some creative ability with a computer to make things like that here (for work I am often charged with creating and desiging our media campaigns, print ads, graphics, etc.). I am certainly not professionally trained in graphic design but I do alright. Perhaps I will start pulling together some of the truly GREAT ideas that you've thrown out there and try to blend them into a one or more options that have some of our favorite options.

I'm definitely on board with trying to get a concensus on our logo by the 365 day mark.....so I'll get hop on it!! (maybe I'll even do some work while I'm AT WDW next week when I'm feeling inspired! )

I thought the same thing. I"m going to work on stuff while I'm gone and once I get back.....Andrea has definitely given me a kick start. And Andrea, you were doing such an amazing job, why would any of us want to interfere?!?! Besides I'm more of a finisher----I'm the type who needs someone to start making the decisions to get a general sense by generating the ideas and then I can help polish them up.....so, Andrea, you and I can be the logo tag-team. How's that? hehehe (of course I hesitate to say too much for fear that people will be expecting something awesome and be very disappointed! ) Like I said, We'll work on something here on our end and I'll try to get it posted here to the group for everyone's approval. Assuming we get enough positive feedback then we can all start putting it in our signatures, I can start working on nametags, and we can start setting up a cafepress store for people to buy lots of fun memorabilia to bring along on the cruise and/or wear in the port!!

Staples has there own brand of magnet paper. It is 4 sheets of 8 1/2 X 11 for $13.98. I was there yesterday and checked it out !

I was at walmart today and found 5sheets for almsot $8. So I nabbed them .. probably should have got 2 packs for all that im planning...
