Oh my. That child sounds like a disaster. How do you do it??
Every button I own has just been pushed!!! I hope she can realize what you are doing for her before she leaves!

We did that trip up Mt. Washington. That is a hike! We hired a car to take us up and the guy drove like a maniac. Made it more like a coaster ride! Never got to the Kennedy Library and I lamented about it the other day when my cousin from Boston was visiting. I do miss New England!

Really, I hope things are more pleasant at home.

Hi Buckeye Gal,

This might be a second post, memory is going ;), but we will be joining all of you. Just DW and I in a Cat 7.

PS - If you love the US Big Brother, you should download the Australian and UK versions. They are MUCH better and we watch the full season and find them much more addictive and interesting.

Regs,

CJM

Hey Chad!! Great to hear from ya again! I did have you and your wife down. If I recall, weren't you two married on the Magic almost a year ago? I know that you'll be celebrating your 2nd Anniversary on THIS '08 cruise. Thanks for ensuring you're accounted for!!

Oh my...ANOTHER BB?? Yikes! Okay. You know you have my curiosity piqued! I'll have to look into that one night this week when I get home from work.

Well I did my homework and read (most of) the entire thread. I went through Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and the 4th of July!

I was wondering how many of us are traveling without children? Well, other than U2FanHfx and us?

:rotfl2: Sounds like you hit the big US holidays!

I actually keep a running tab on the number of cabins with and without children on Post 577 under the "Interesting Stats" section. That Post is always in my signature block. Currently, there are 40 cabins without little munchkins and 60 with the little darlings.

Oh Hadley...I'm so sorry. No doubt this week is a bit difficult for you without Rio, so you don't really need this frustration. Just from the small amt of time we've all been getting to know you, we know that you have a heart of gold and will do the right things, like saying "no" when you need to. :) Hang in there!

Thanks for keeping up with the stats! I missed that one, sadly.

Thanks for the sympathy. I have been grousing so much this summer on this thread. I feel like such a wimp this summer with our visitors:confused:

Okay, I am tired and looking back thorugh the posts and not seeing what I am looking for. Who was it who posted they were on the Double Dip LAST September???? We were on that one:woohoo: So, we have cruised with you before:) It was a FABULOUS trip wasn't it?

Hey there everyone! I guess I'm in one of those "clean-up" modes today!

I thought I would make an opportunity to see if some of you who have friends, family, or neighbors joining you on the cruise would care to disclose their home cities and/or home state. The names on the following list are the one's I'm currently missing. As always, any info you provide is optional. In some cases these types of details are fun to have, and in other cases, they can be helpful for planning particular interests. You can either PM me or send to the DoubleDip09-2008@hotmail.com account.

Furthermore, for any of you with fellow cruisers joining your vacation, don't forget to let me know if any of them are going to be celebrating any special occasion, their main/late dining seating, cabin numbers, any interests they may have (like Fish Extenders, Palo Brunch, Kids' Pre-Meets, etc.), etc. I have a lot of unknowns in these areas and thought I would try to beef it up a little before Marsha posts the most current list on the website. We certainly want to make them feel just as important as you, the DISer!! :grouphug:

My husband Lionel and I are travelling sans kids, unless I happen to get pregnant before then. And if so? We're bringing my parents too :rotfl:

And Kim, I have a guilty pleasure too - it's called So You Think You Can Dance. :rolleyes1

*chuckle* I was mixing up my cruises and thinking this one was 9 months away... I thought, "She better step on it then! She's got less than 9 months, and NO ONE wants to be on a boat during their last trimester!!!"

Doh!

We're going to be on the last cruise before the Magic does the Mexican Riviera, and the first cruise after drydock.

It is clear to me I need to do a lot of reading and catch-up on the particulars and knowledge. I feel so lost. :)

Looking forward to my first cruise ever, I know Disney will do it right. From what I hear and the very little I have read it sounds like you guys all do the cruise right too. :)

All the night Double Dips are Western aren't they? Glad to know you enjoyed it as muc has we did. I wonder if you will seem familiar to us once we are onboard? It seems on every cruise we quickly find a "core" group of people whom we see over and over again as they have about the same interests as we do:) Likewise, we have cruised on the same ship as people we know and NEVER seen them (different interests so never in the same place at the same time). Funny how that works.

Question:

Did anyone book with Disney Visa and get at $50 onboard credit? I was just visiting the website (DCL) and noticed the "$50 onboard credit when you book a Disney Cruise with your card". I had asked my TA when I booked, but they knew nothing about it. We got it on our last cruise. Thanks!

We ALWAYS book with the Disney Visa and get the onboard credit. My in-laws even have us book them on our visa and then they pay us so they will get the credit too (works for us as we get the reward dollars;) ). I thought the TAs had to enter a code but I am not really sure--we have just always gotten it (plus the $25 credit for the TA booking it online).

Thanks for the fast answer. I booked through Sam's Club and the lady who booked had made a few errors. She is the one I had asked about the credit and of course, she didn't know anything about it. I subsequently got a very knowledgeable man, and I will call him in the AM. Thanks!:thumbsup2

I tried to edit my ticker. Thanks, LadyShiva for your help.
You live near my daughter. I forgot her name, but the picture is Stitch. She will be on the cruise too, but I don't know if she's keeping up with this thread. She's on a scrapbooking kick right now.
Okay, here goes. Keep your fingers crossed.

Thinking pink Barbie dress, thinking pink Barbie dress. . .

I mentioned this dress on the repo thread when someone had wanted to know how formal is formal? (short answer it is whatever you want it to be). Then Erik posted it made him think of Marilyn Monroe singing "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (though it is not really that style, but Dave says it still makes him think of Marilyn too), so I have the insane belief that I've GOT to get into that dress and then round up Erik and Jason and Chris and Rob (and of course my fabulous hubby, and my little guy Rio) and any of our other traveling companions who wear tuxes and get us all on the fancy stairs and get a GREAT photo. Why? Just for fun now that the idea has been planted by Erik. I wasn't born in Ohio but I am nutty too as you can plainly see.

ok so after reading this I was searching google for some pics to make magnets shirt etc (ya I know I still need to actually book it.. what is wrong with me and dragging my feet now that DH is "onboard" LOL)

anyhow I was searching google and found this pic and thought of you Hadley
madonna_material_1.jpg

thought it was perfect since it had disney ears and ALL
