You are welcome everyone!! It make sit seem more real, doesn't it?!!!

Awesome, Kimberly! Thanks so much! I know it takes alot of time!:surfweb: I think it would be great to post pics at the website so we can recognize each other when we get there!

Pics would be great! Let's wait until Marsha can weigh in on the extent of what she can/will be able to do for us before sending those our way.

Hey Kimberly thanks for doing a roll call for us:goodvibes If I can do anything to help out let me know!! Would you like us to PM you with the information? ETA do you want us to include our ages?

Absolutely feel free to PM me with any other details from the list that you may not have already provided. That will help keep our thread posts down. As I previously mentioned, when new cruisers introduce themselves to the thread, then I'll get them added to the list.

As far as your adult ages being reported, that's ENTIRELY up to you!! I know I won't be putting mine out there!! I'll admit I'm a 30something, but that's as far as that will go! :rotfl2: Some of you have already posted your own ages (or ages of your parents), so I did take note of that already.

IN RELATED NEWS.....
I established an email account for PMing that can be used as an alternative to PM on the boards, if you so desire. It's noted in my signature block. I'm thinking this might be helpful in many ways as we go along in this process. For example, if we have group emails going out, I would send from that email addy. If Marsha can get pics on the web, then we could email pics to that email addy for her to pick up instead of pics being embedded within this thread to hand pick out. (Marsha I'll give you the password). I also figure we can use "polls" along the way as a tool as well.

Jen if you need help with the design let me know. I have Photoshop Elements and have made a few t-shirt designs for past trips and I would totally be willing to help ya.

Thanks Lisa......

I worked on it a bit last night, I have the basic design done....just have to add the blend effects and work on the opacity and little details like that....then add the text but that's NBD....
One of my biggest issues is that my images are very small, in the 200x200 pixel range (yes they are raster as opposed to vector) so they are not going to resize very nicely. I might have to scrap the whole thing even though I loved the idea...it would be fine for a logo in a sig or maybe even on a website but i fear it would not work well as a large magnet or on a T-shirt....so that is frustrating me a bit.

I am picking up the photoshop quicker than I thought I would....I'm one of those that has to do it to learn it and I did some pretty horrid things to my bud Skelly (that's the skeleton) last night including chopping off his pretty head (guillotine, matey?) Har!!

I am certainly not offended by offers of help or if anyone else has great ideas and wants to make a design, heck GO FOR IT! :)

But just so everyone can kindof see where I was going with it, here is the basic image so far..Remember guys it is a rough draft, all I have done so far is layer the images....I have not done anything to it yet as far as blending and effects, if all goes well it will appear much smoother and look better (my idea is to blur the edges of the skeleton image so it is not just this big block in the center of the scroll):

logo1.jpg

You can see what I mean about the size...:worried:

Really guys, I can take constructive criticism well (I promise;) ), so if it is not what ya'll envisioned or just not the direction you wanted our logo to go in, please don't hesitate to express your feelings! I really want everyone to be thrilled with it!

Plus I still have the Disney Magic Artist program that I haven't even installed yet!

Lisa, if you want to go at it and do your thing, feel free!!

Jen, that looks like a great start! I can have my husband play around with an image and/or a logo a little bit as well. He teaches graphic design and photoshop at a local technical college. Maybe a few of us could post something and we could pick the one that suits the group the best? :confused3
Love the mouse ears on the skellie! :rotfl:

Kim - I'll be sending you info via email soon for me, silversae, and our other friends who booked (they are Everika on DIS, or something like that, but they never post - they just rely on me to keep them posted :rotfl: ). I was thinking about the little surprise gifts, and I think I already have a few ideas! I'll have to start looking around.

STILL waiting on my Passporter to arrive, the guy I bought it from on ebay sent it with DHL. They are ALWAYS a few days late with my packages. :sad2:

Hope everyone had a nicer Memorial Day than me, I had to work  I guess that's life in the hospital!

Kimberly: Thanks for being the listkeeper
Marsha: Thanks for the website
Jen: thanks for doing the shirt design
Erika: Thanks for always keeping alcohol involved:lmao:

Let me know what I can do, maybe work on the kids meet as it gets closer? Set up chat rooms with times for kids to talk? Get emails together etc. Any ideas?

MagicMe where outside Philly are you from? I am south about 5 minutes from Delaware. Hubby and I are also traveling with our DD's and boyfriends. We are also on deck 6 the kids are in 6572 & 6574. Hubby and I are in 6624.

Hey Everyone - just got back from the 14-day Repo in Spain and we signed up for this cruise next year. We are so excited because the best part of the cruise was the DIS board people and families. We had a blast. There are a least 5 families/couples going on this cruise from ours. It should be a blast and we look forward to getting to know everyone. I will have to catch up on the past boards but I am ready for bed. Our cabin # is 6632!

Welcome Hoagie Pie!!! We're so glad to have you with us as well as your fellow travelers from the repo!! I know personally enjoyed following your travels the past 2 weeks! As you can see with the number of posts for a cruise still 16 months away, we're a pretty active group on here!

Looking forward to meeting you!

HEY! I read...and sometimes i post :P Just remember to include that i'm single...like romantic walks on the beach..*giggling*

Thanks to everyone who's jumping on board to get things organised and planned. I'll be much more active once it gets closer to sail time, right now i'm focused on planning/organising my 2 other trips to disney/florida this year.

hello neighbor we are currently booked in 6626:wave:

Hey everyone,

Well I'm going to officially throw us onto this thread now! My partner, Jason, and I just got off the eastbound TransAtlantic repo aboard the Magic and we booked this Double Dip while onboard (as did several other couples and families aboard the TransAtlantic...so get ready cuz there's a bunch of us who'll probably be popping up on this board in the next couple weeks! :thumbsup2 ). We're in 6628 at this point.

This will be Jason and I's 4th cruise together, and my 5th total....we're avid DCL cruisers...huge Disney-addicts....DVC members (have owned at Saratoga for a couple years now and we bought pretty good sized chunk of points at Animal Kingdom Villas while were on the Magic for the repo, too! )...and hopefully my fellow TransAtlantic folks will vouch for us as fun guys and great DISers.

I am going to TRY to catch up on the posts up to this point, but Jason and I are really looking forward to planning this trip with everyone!

:tigger:
Erik

(p.s. Jason is "jasonroo" on the DISboards but he rarely ever posts...mostly just lurks! )

Hi Neighbor!! Our 1st room was 6588, but I found out it is across from the laundry:laundy: so you know I changed that room real fast!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I'm really debating on keep 6626 right now (although it looks like we have 3 Disers in a row). I read the stateroom reports and it looks like there would be some noise in the area from luggage storage and what not...my mom is a light sleeper so I'm not sure if it is a good idea to stay in the location or not!

Hola, Erik and Jason!

I saw you mention on another thread that you were joining us...so thanks for officially introducing yourself this this great group of friends! Sounds like you had a wonderful time on the repo. Hopefully we'll come just a LITTLE close to making this trip as memorable for our TransAtlantic'ers as you all had the past 2 weeks!

Welcome aboard Erik and Jason! I'm surprising my mom with the cruise and we are currently in 6626 so we will be neighbors:goodvibes

From post #1
jcemom - Tracey (38) - Cat 9 #2106
DS14 - Corey,
DD5 - Emilee

We're actually now in #6020 Cat 8. ;)

ETA: Oops, never mind. I just noticed that the first post hasn't been updated since 3/10. Where's our OP anyway? LOL

Hey, Tracey!

I got your cabin change down. We'll be creating a website to list where everyone is located, who's traveling, etc. Currently we have 67 cabins accounted for, so a posting won't quite do it!!

OH MY GOODNESS....HOAGIE!!! I'm so so so SOOOO thrilled to hear that you guys are gonna be aboard....and you're only two rooms away from me and Jason (& just to let you know on the down low that at this point Chris and Rob (Scoobypop) are booked in the room between us..although that still may change)!! I hope Hadley and her crew are near us on the boat, too....it'll be so awesome to have a group of TransAtlantic repo veterans to re-bond with!!

:tigger:
Erik

Thanks for the initial welcomes!! I have to agree with Hoagie that while the TransAtlantic was an AMAZING cruise...truly an epic journey, figuratively & literally.....that the real highlight of the cruise was all the DISers. Jason and I met and bonded with so many people who will unquestionably be friends for life and lots of future vacation buddies!!

So I have tried to skim all the pages before this.....but are we set yet in who specifically we should be sending our information to? And what information specifically they want? Will there be a website, etc.? Sorry to ask so many questions when so many of you have been a part of this thread for a long time...just trying to get up to speed!

Also....on the TransAtlantic the DISers were a HUGE group and we were super organized with lots of awesome group ideas (door decorations, bracelets, Tshirts, special lanyards, fish extenders, meet & greets, etc. etc.)....it was Jason & I's first trip as DISers but it was amazing....so as we all start gearing up for the Double Dip we'll definitely have lots of great ideas!
